Xander for Genesis 8 non matiching anatomical elements & skin

Hi,

I have the Xander 8 male figure for Genesis 8 and using the genitals from G8M pro and the included mats in the Xander model the skin colours are completely different.  I've made no adjustments to either in surfaces (or any other tab.)   Any suggestions how to fix this?

  • Have you applied any settings to either skin like translucency or gloss ?

I am not sure if I have Xander or not, will check when I get home and check the skin files.

I would suggest logging a ticket with Customer Service so it can be looked into.

    Thanks for your reply.

I've tried changing various settings (translucency, etc) to fix it but all with no success, but loading the basic mats for skin & gens is a really bad mismatch.   I did some more poking here and noticed someone else posted about the same problem about a year ago, so I guess Customer services is the next step.

There is a slight, but noticeable difference between the torso and anatomical elements texture, yes.

However, the main difference I've seen is in the settings. For some strange reason, the Thin Walled toggle is on for the genital and not for the torso. (It really shouldn't be on for any skin surface.) Once you turn that off and make sure the settings colors and numbers match, that will take care of most, if not quite all, of the difference.

He's also using what's now an older shader model, although I think he's a fairly early G8M, so it's understandable. He has grayscale translucency strength maps in his translucency color slot, which is how Genesis 3 was set up.

I was able to fix this issue by:

    1. On the surfaces tab, copy Xander's Torso Surface and paste it to the Genitalia's  Genitalia surface.
    2. Swap out the Genitalia texture images (as they are pasted as torso images) in the following Genitalia surface channels.

    Base Color (d or d2)
    Translucency Color (sss or sss2)
Dual Lobe Specular Weight (s or s2)
    Base Bump (b or b2)

Gentalia preset 1 uses d,sss,s, b images and
    Genitalia preset 2 uses d2, sss2, s2 an b2 images
