I've already forgotten which G8 bundle I grabbed, but both of my G3s were female (though I was strongly considering Dante), and I think I got a male G2 bundle.
edit: that's right, it was Jenni 8. I've wanted her since she came out, but due to the timing, I ended up buying the bundles on either side of her, but couldn't afford Jenni when she was released. And nope, all three of my G2 bundles were female.
I read the offer as it was intended to be read, but put a couple G3 bundles in my cart just to see if it would work. It did, so I hastily picked out three G2 bundles and checked out.
Remember that the Store login and Forum logins are separate, so pages refresh when bouncing between the two. Better to do the shopping first, happy dance second. However at least it didn't make the change after you hit purchase and before it lands in the Product Library. That would be an even nastier surprize!

They shouldn't be able to muck about with the price once it's in the cart.
That's just bloody annoying

Certainly once that purchase button is hit, IMHO {which affects not any software} the prices should lock.
My experience was much the same as @daveso. I should have done what @Gordig did. Instead, I finally dumped my cart. I have plenty of stuff. It'll all still be there some other day.
Take timestamped screenshots of your cart and checkout pages. And it won't matter if they change the price, because they will honour it as long as you made the purchase at the same time.
Screenshot is a good suggestion. Cart prices are flaky during big sales. Usually, when they wig out, I come back later and they're settled. Sometimes, I have to reload the cart screen to see the right price. I don't think their cart software is entirely stable.
