How to save Webp files as JPGs in the new MS Edge

I personally like to save the promo images in my own folders on my computer. It's easier for me to visually search through them, as well as being able to make notes in the file name.
I use both Edge and Chrome. I liked using Edge because I could do a right-click, Save As, and just name the jpg. Recently, I upgraded to the new Edge and now when I do a Save As, the only option is a WEBP file. I figured a way around this:
Right-click on the image and choose "Search the Web for Image."
This will open a new page where you can click Save As and save it as the JPG. It's an extra step, but it beats taking a screen print.

Save WEBP as JPG 01.jpg
583 x 425 - 63K

Save WEBP as JPG 02.jpg
756 x 785 - 101K

Thank you, that's helpful.
In Firefox we usually can change the filetypes to all files types and then tack on the .png or .jpg to the end of the name. For the few that might not open in image editors, open them first in Paint, resave it, then it should work. Would be nicer though if the great wild web stopped messing with our file types.
There might be an easier way to do it in the new Edge, but since I just updated it today, I haven't found it yet. But, yeah, stop messing with our stuff!!!!
I do the same thing to help visually organize my inventory of products. The introduction of the webp format added a new and annoying wrinkle to the process. Chrome (and probably Firefox) offers a plug-in/extension that lets you right-click and save a webp format as jpeg or png. There are free sites that auto-convert files, but that's a hassle.
Recently, I determined I was so backlogged with saving promo images that i decided to purchase "Product Manager for DAZ3D" by Taosoft. The program syncs with your Daz store purchase list and lets you view and sort your purchases, with access to the promo images, product page info, and library page info. It's pretty handy, but unfortunately doesn't support custom labels to create your own content categories (at least not yet). However, since it is quite efficient at downloading the promo images, all I had to do was locate where the program stores the promos on my hard drive and copy each product's image folder to my own content hierarchy. Beats the heck out of manually downloading the images and wrestling with the webp files.
Firefox works fine for save-as (as Catherine mentioned).
image files that fail to open in image viewers after is probably down to the how the image was reduced / converted prior or during original upload.
You guys are aware that edge is now based off chromium (the engine that powers chrome)?
Creating your own category groups is one of the next features, it's already partly done. There will be an update before that, probably one of the next days, with another new feature where you can locate almost any product instantly in DS.
I do now, thanks.
What's the problem with webp files?
There are extensions that do it automatically for both Firefox and Chrome. FYI :)

Nothing inherently. They're just not nearly as widely supported as jpg/png so they can harder to work with.
Great news! I am excited to hear you will be adding these new features!
+1 :)
