Viewport Completely Disappears When Animating

The viewport becomes blank once in a while while I'm in the timeline. Nothing is visible and this is true for all viewports: perspective view, front, back, left, right, top, bottom, and camera. Through trial and error this error disappears if I set the interpolation of all keys to linear.

Why does this happen?

It's not even a constant error. Sometimes the viewport diappears, sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes it disappears only on modified keyframes, sometimes only on interpolated keyframes. Sometimes it disappears on some interpolated keyframes but not other keyframes.
