Discounts adds up instead of substracting

Never had this one before: my discount adds up instead subtracting!
Also, when I put a new item in my cart the giftcard discount won't work either.
Hamster in the house?

I have put several of today's new items in my cart, but no giftcard discount :(

    The Subttoal is excluding the GC for some reason, I think the final price is right apart from the apparently broken GC discount - which I am off to report.

    It looks as if we were both making the same mistake - not applying the GIFT-10 code to get the discount on the Gift Card.
