Render speeds and While rendering: Metadata update failure?
What does this message mean and what impact does it have? Does it slow down the scene render?
This scene of a simple headshot is taking forever...
The iterations (%) seem to be speeding up a lot after the 10h mark... +8% in the last hour versus 6% in the first 10 hours... no idea what this means.
Specs: Macbook Pro (i.e. no NVidia) :(

The history shows all messages, not just those related to rendering.
Iteration speed may vary according to what else the machine is doing, or slightly according to the precise paths traced (though I'd expect that to average out fairly quickly, given that the starting angles are widely scattered).
Thank you for the insights. I was asleep all night while the computer worked on this render... it's still terribly slow. I should consider getting a PC+Invidia GPU.
