Missing Smart Content & Products *** FIXED ***

Hi all… I’m having an issue with the newest DAZ patch that rolled out earlier in the week and I’m about at my wit’s end.

I let DIM install the newest “DAZ Studio” update, ”PostgreSQL CMS”, and “PostgreSQL CMS From Valentina CMS Conversion”. Since that fateful day, I don’t see any of my Smart Content, nothing shows in my Products, and even searching through my Content Library doesn’t show items (like my base Apollo, Michael 4, & Victoria 4 models) anymore.

Like many users I trusted that the update wouldn’t screw anything up, so I didn’t backup my database files (I’d never even heard of doing that until this update). So because I don’t have my old database I #1 don’t have an old database to import and #2 even if I had one, I’ve got no clue on how to go about importing it since I’ve never had to deal with it before.

Doing a search in the Content Library doesn’t show any files even though I can manually hunt through the Content Library and it shows up.

I’ve read through the forums & tried various combinations of uninstalling & reinstalling DAZ Studio, CMS, and both PostgreSQL files. I’m currently only running DAZ and CMS WITHOUT the newer PostgreSQL files, but still no content is showing up.

Does anybody have a method that might actually work for someone that didn’t export their database prior to installing the update?

Re-import your metadata and see if that helps. In DIM go to your Installed tab, select all products then right click. Select Re-Import Metadata and then all selected

I'll try the first run using CMS and without either PostgreSQL running.

    *** UPDATE ***

Ok, I had some items that I'd just purchased so I downloaded & installed them with DIM. They installed perfectly & seem to be working like they're supposed to. Now I'll try the full re-import of all my previously installed items.
