Uploading SickleYield's 200 Free Morphs to Daz 3D On OSX

Hello! New to Daz 3D, so I'm attempting to explore the free assets before I begin investing in the program. I am attempting to load these morphs into Daz so that whenever I load a new Genesis 8 Character, they appear. I think they would appear under the Actor tab? Where do I go to install these files? I have attempted using the DIM, RendoInstall, Uploading them to Daz Studio Format Folders, and using Morph Installer Pro. I think at this point I am just lost. Does anyone know how to install these morphs on OSX specifically? Tutorials for this are seldom seen, it seems.

Thank you!

I may be wrong because I didn't installed those but they should be on the Parameters and/or Shaping tabs. Main figure needs to be selected in the Scene.. you should also be able to apply them over the genesis 8 figure once you find them in Content Library, you need to browse Genesis 8/Characters etc starting from the folder where you installed them (since I'm assuming they don't have metadata, so no Smart Content shortcut).

I currently have them installed to My Library under the Content Library. As I attempt to select the morphs, They are greyed and with a caution sign. No error message though. When I double click them, I see no changes or morph dials to the program. Any help?

I've had SickleYield's 200 Free Morphs installed for some weeks on both G8F and G8M.  I just now loaded G8F and in the Parameters Tab search bar, I typed "SY" to display only the SickleYield parameter dials.  It looks like they're all showing up for me.  Spun a few of the dials and they work fine.  Have been using them quite a lot on G8M.  I don't recall doing anything special to install the morph sets into DAZ Studio.

I hope you get a resolution to the problem soon!

Like many free assets, the Sickleyield morphs require manual installation, which is relatively simple once one understands the process. There should be no difference, insofar as I know, between Windows or Mac OSX, other than potential thumbnail formats. Since the Sickleyield morphs do not have thumbnails, that isn't an issue. Here is what you need to do:

    1. Download the package (.zip archive) to a temporary location on your hard drive - creating a separate folder will keep things tidy.

    2. Extract the contents of the downloaded archive to the temporary folder. Windows can do this using its built-in utility, but I don't know whether OSX has that capability or requires a separate "unzipping" utility - presumably you would know better than I.

    3. Once the contents have been extracted, you will notice that there are two folders - Documentation and data. Here is the only tricky part. Individuals have the ability to name/rename their main content folder for DAZ Studio anything they wish and place it anywhere they wish. Some users simply choose to leave it as-is with the default name and location during the installation of Studio, others do not. If the default name is used, it should be something like My DAZ3D Library or something similar, otherwise you would know better than anyone what it is called. If you know the correct name and location of that main DAZ Studio content folder, the rest is simple. Using your OSX file system utility, simply select the two folders that you have extracted and drag-and-drop (or copy) them into your main DAZ content folder. Once copied, you're done! You can then delete that temporary folder if you wish.

As brvsn has said, when you load either a G8F or G8M figure in DAZ Studio the morphs will load automatically with those figures and can be found in either the Shaping or Parameters tabs when the figure is selected in the scene (you can spot them easily since Sickleyield has made the morph sliders a distinctive bright blue).

It would appear that you did not install them correctly. Remove that batch. The supplied "data" folder is merged together with the already existing "data" folder found under My Library. There is ONLY one. End results do not show in the Content Library.

    Yes, OSX has this capability.

Copy-paste. DO NOT drag-and-drop. OSX treats these operations slightly differently, and only copy-paste offers the necessary option. Select "Merge". DO NOT EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES select "Replace". Doing so will do irreparable damage to your content directory.

    "for me are bright green"

Oops, I have way too many morph packages. You're right, the blue bunch are from another package. Sorry.
