Auto Hide for geo graft figure question

BasisBasis Posts: 121

Did they change how Auto hide works when they updated the geometry editor tool?

I'm experimenting with some geografts but it's not hiding the polygons when the attachment is applied.

I'm setting the graft faces to the attachment, then selecting the same polygons to auto-hide.

I've tried doing it with the attachment removed from the figure, tried it with it on the figure.

I've tried saving the raw test figure as an asset. Tried reloading a fresh save.
Tried restarting.
Changing the tool to Node Selection.

Still no luck.

I know it's grafting as when I hide the attachment a gap opens in the parent figure.

What gives?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

If a gap opens up that suggests the polygons are being hidden - are you sure the polygons you are seeing aren't on the graft itself?

When I push the vertices of the attachment further in, with an attachment morph. the facets what are supposed to be hidden show through.

Are you sure those are the covered vertices? The whole point of a graft is that it welds to the base mesh, so when you push the edges in they should pull the base mesh behind them.
