Daz studio 4.12

I have no idea if this is possible. I have two Imacs sitting side by side, this one is a 2020 21.5" running OS Catalina and has DS4.12 installed which is running okay. The other is the old machine that this one replaced and which I have installed a 1TB ssd hard drive. The second machine is running OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and I wouldl like to install DS 4.12 on this machine too. Can I have the same version of DS running on two seperate machines at the same time. My ultimate aim is to use the old machine for DS and possibly Photoshop CS and keep the new machine exclusively for entertainmet like TV and so on.

if i can only have one version of DS will I need to unistall it from the new machine before I can install DS 4.12 on the old machine. I have tried to find DS 4.12 to download but cant find it, and my account and password keeps getting rejected on the old machine.

Any help would be appreciated...

Can I have the same version of DS running on two seperate machines at the same time.

    Yes, no problem.

I have tried to find DS 4.12 to download but cant find it

For some reson the latest DS version doesn't seem to be available as a manual download for Mac, you have to use DIM to install it.

my account and password keeps getting rejected on the old machine.

Does it work on the new machine? Also, make sure you have the latest version of DIM, it was updated recently.

Thank you Leana, its late here so I will follow your advice tomorrow. I think I may have installed 4.12 via DIM on the new machine, hence the fact that its running fine on that machine. Sp if thats the case then it should be okay on the old one, we will see!

Much appreciate your advice, thank you again...

    and I will report back

The stand-alone installers require "non-trivial" chnages to work with recent Mac updates, so for now DIM is the only option.

To begin with you are deling with a thicko here so please forgive me... Lets call the new machine A and the old one B for ease of identification.

I installed DS4.12 on machine A so there has to be a way for that to have happened although I cant actually recall exactly how I did that. It is on machine A and works fine. So far I have managed to install DIM on machine B. Once logged on this shows a list of 15 items SS01 and when accepted shows those items selected and ready to download SS02. When I try to download them they all show failed SS03. I know the path for downloads is users/shared/ My DAZ 3D Library but as of now there is no such folder existing. So I have no idea what I should do next to resolve this....

    Please advise

Other users have reported issues with DIM downloads failing today, so my guess would be there's a problem on the server side, not on your side.
