How crazy were you during the new semi-annual PC+ sale?

ariocharioch Posts: 172

I was curious to see what I picked up over the past month during the new PC+ sale, so I went through my order history since June 1 and counted. Maybe not such a great idea in retrospect!

Orders placed - 16

Gift Cards bought - 2 (one at 20% off and one at 25% off)

Individual items bought - 208 (not inc'l the following bundles; these include new releases, BYOB, PC for a day, daily specials, freebies, and PA sale items)

Anniversary Bundles - all 10

Pro Bundles - 9 (all Gen 8)

Other Bundles - 5

OK Daz, now it's your turn; give my wallet some rest!

Oy... I shouldn't have looked either. Since June 1st:

    Orders Placed: 24

    Gift Cards Bought: 2

I was pretty "good" though, overall and didn't spend nearly as much as I did last PC+ sale (mainly because I already owned a lot of the items offered in the Anniversary Bundles, and there weren't as many PC+ for a day items this time around).

This sale was kind of "PC+ Lite" compared to other PC+ sales, and from what I read, it appears that was probably intentional. Kind of a "taste" of what the PC+ membership and PC+ October Sale is about. :) Considering the "real" PC+ sale is coming in October, I'm glad I didn't go too overboard with this sale. lol

I like how you said you were pretty "good" yet still beat my order total by 50% :)

I probably bought more overall during this sale because I wasn't actively buying during the "real" sale last fall, so I was playing catch up, too.

And you're right, this was a "PC+ Lite" version of the October "real deal". It was Daz's way of offering something to the artist community during the pandemic, and to give newer members a taste of what's to come. I hope they took notice - it's a deep pit! lol

..really cashed in on the PC+ for a day and a couple of the BYOB bundle offers. Cleared a fair amount off the wishlist.

  • 34 orders made, 5 gift cards.

Forgive me if I don't count how many items it was, lol

haha Yeah, but "orders total" doesn't reflect how many items one bought necessarily, nor how much one spent. Considering how many freebies were given away this sale, plus the build your own bundles in which you could buy 8 items for a total of $2.99 - the "number of orders" and "number of items bought" won't necessarily reflect how much one spent. Trust me when I said, I was definitely "good" this sale. :) (I had to be anyway since I was out of store credit for most of the month as I don't buy very big gift cards and I had promised the hubby I'd spend less at Daz this past month.)

    Orders: 29
Gift Cards: 1 at 28% off
Items: 61 (10 were free, 24 were $1.99 or less, most expensive item was a $13.97 new release)
Returned items : 2 PC+ for a day that I was unhappy with
    Anniversary Bundles: 0
    Pro Bundles: 0
    BYOB: 0

Orders Total: 29 (counting all, freebies and GC)

Gift Cards: 3 (including one today that should leave some credit for July+)

    Anniversary Bundles: 3

BYOB: Arround 10 or so. I think on one i did not buy but on a couple i bought 2.

PC For a day: Some here and there.

Debut/Still New: Not that much actually. Mostly to trigger something. Today i did bought 4.

The first day of the sale i thought i was done for. It starterd with big things like 40% (instead of 30) for new releases, and 2 Gen3 Pro Bundles for $1.99

Then new item discount went back to 30% and the while PC+ for a day was good most of the time, it certainlly did never live up to what i was expecting of it. I was looking forward for new character releases, with nice discounts promos in sale month. The promos were there but every single bundle was fantasy. Today is probably the day i spent most and that is because i had my PC coupons so i wrap a couple purchases for those and an extra one for Laudromat that because of the free items should not be combined with the coupons, also not debut but i grabbed the pride bundle.

So, my wallet is not complaining that much. I spent but it could have been a lot more crazy.

I'm mostly a Poser user, still interested in a lot the older stuff, as I took a Poser/DAZ break between 2010 and 2016..

Rejoined the PC May this year - perfect timing.

    Orders placed:  49  (including freebies)

    Gift Cards on sale: 2

BYOB:   around 20   (hadn't been a PC member since 2009; really went wild on Jack Tomalin, David Brinnen and Forbidden Whispers items.)

PC for a day:  around 12, including the Michael and Victoria 7 Pro bundles, and three Genesis 2 base characters

Plus some DAZ originals on sale.

And one of my monthly PC coupons on Stonemason's Steets of Asia 2

    No Anniversary Bundles.

In all it was good for a little over six new pages in my product library.

At 40 downloadable products per page that makes over 240 in total

Installed at this moment:  zero.  That's for July...... (Hoping for very few interesting sales this month, i really need a break, and to save some money for October...)

Browsing though the offers, my wishlist, of which I cleared quite a bit, went from around 500 items to 900 items, (At least, there are few real priority items left, a lot of it is in the category nice to have...)

    My physical health, sure.

The health of the voice in my head?

Head: "Jaki, stop buying so much!"

    Me: "But...but...it's a DAZ sale!"

Head: "Jaki, you already own 12 sci fi outfits for Genesis 8 Female...do you really need another 4?"

    Me: "But...but...it's a DAZ sale!"

Head: "Are you really actually saving money by buying stuff?"

    Me: "YES!!!!"

You all put a smile on my face ... thanks for sharing your addiction :)

@Sempie I know the feeling. I used this sale to play a bit of catch up myself.

@jakiblue ... too funny lol and grats on quitting. I'm still entrenched in both addictions, much to my wallet's chagrin.

244 new entries in my product library, including all free/bonus products, and with the various bundles "expanded".

I'm actually more surprised by how much I already had from previous sales. Typically I could find something that I needed/wanted on my wishlist but no dice this sale. I guess I made out like a bandit at Christmas and last fall, so now I just stock up on gift cards.

  • nonesuch00nonesuch00 Posts: 18,333

About to the tune of $150 total including about 20 B.Y.O.Bs I built! On the good side about all those 'must-haves' on my Wishlist from long ago are taken care of now.

  • MelanieLMelanieL Posts: 7,494

Hmm, taking a look I see:

    • 27 orders
    • 2 GCs
    • 78 items purchased (several of them bundles)
    • 11 of them freebies (including free with purchase)
    • 17 "PC+ for the Day" (I love those offers!)

There was only one Anniversary Bundle that I didn't have but wanted (I passed it up last year but at only $5.99 this time it became more attractive)

I also added a few new releases to my Wishlist - I would have loved to buy them but just didn't have the budget. Well, there's always another sale...

    94 orders

    600 items

3 G8 Pro Bundles, 4 other new DO Bundles (Underbelly, Pride Parade, etc), 17 other older bundles

    12 Gift cards

No Anniversary bundles since I already owned all but one or two items in each of them and only 3 or 4 BYOB. However, except for new items that were still new from before 1 June (and thus not eligble for any discounts), I did pretty well clear out all the items (new and old) that were on wishhlist. Now it really is time to start saving up for fall

17 orders (7 were freebies, so 10). I got the first PC Anniversary Bundle and Ashan (because I like ripped mage characters). Also, bought the PC for a day. It was all around $141.

37 orders, but at least I can blame some of those on wanting multiple batches from BYOBs! Only one was nothing but freebies, and I didn't buy any of the PC Anniversary Bundles because I already owned anything in them that I was interested in, LOL.

Only one Pro Bundle purchase (though I did consider Angharad). That was Ashan because I, like MimicMolly, like ripped mage characters.

Assuming I'm counting correctly, the total number of items (including freebies) was 387.

Total was $472.34, so barring any must-have releases or truly epic sales on things I really want, I'm gonna have to be done for a while.

    38 invoices
    620 products

and I didn't get a single one of the free anniversary bundles or pro bundles, as I already owned every item in every single one of them...

Anniversary bundles weren't free. They cost $5.99. A good price if you want the included items, but not so much if you already bought the items you care about - or in your case, if you already own everything!

blush Haha! Okay. I count 20 orders exactly, but 9 were freebies. I ended up 62 items in all. Unfolding bundles increased that to about 88. It was mostly Byobs and $1.99 items; and at least it made a dent in my wishlist.

Yes, I agree that Charlie Judge and Cybersox won it; but I give Gordig an honorable mention for amount spent. That's impressive!
