Upgrading Daz Studio Creates A Problem With The UI

This is the second time this has happened during an update/install: my Daz UI goes all-white.  Pic attached.  Any clue as to how to fix this?  The first time it happened I had to uninstall/reinstall the program entirely and I'd love to avoid that.  Thanks in advance.

This is caused by installing a new version of DS while an instance of DS is running.

Fix:  Close DS if it is running, uninstall and reinstall.

Yeah, make sure daz studio isn't running in task manager, octane makes studio run forever in task manager for me, otherwise it takes a few minutes after closing studio to leave task manager.
