.pz2 problem

Hello all,

I am new to the world of 3D rendering so bear with me. I downloaded a character for the Dawn base from Renderosity called Shayde. Everything works in terms of applying the body morph and textures but there are some morphs that should add fangs to the character and I can't get them to work. What is odd is that the character comes with a mouth texture to change her teeth to a more yellowed look and that works just fine but when it comes to the fangs...no dice.

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem might be?

Thanks!

It looks like that product is made for the Poser version of Dawn -- the materials will work with some adjustments, but the morphs won't work with the DS version.

Well that bites! So, since I have other PZ2 files elsewhere, what makes those different? I appreciate you answering me so fast!

Up through DS3 and Poser 7, figures were rigged with legacy Poser parametric rigging, which worked in both (for the most part, except for some differences in how scaling was handled and morphs saved in Poser .pmd files). DS4 weight-mapped rigging and Poser 9 weight-mapped rigging, however, are not compatible. The DSON Importer for Poser converts DS weight-mapping to Poser weight-mapping (and adds some features which aren't present in Poser), but Poser weight-mapping won't work in DS.

Dawn is not a single figure that works in both DS and Poser -- it's a figure which has been rigged separately for each application. Some vendors produce two versions of their Dawn products, but many only do one, which may or may not work in the other.
