    A bit more info needed.

Installing or updating the DAZ Studio application, does not touch the users content folders. Did you install Genesis, and Genesis 2 Starter Essentials? Did you also install the Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio, these are all available in your My Account area under Product Library.

What Presets exactly are missing, and where were they in your previous install?

    Thank you for your response.

I think it is better to show you two pictures, to answer your question.

In the Content Library they are still there, but not in the presets.

All work is done by the DIM.

    Greetings Ralf

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you mean?

The two images you posted look to be correct, but they don't tell me anything about your problem.

    What Presets are missing?
If they are in the Content Library (My DAZ 3D Library) then they should show up inside DAZ Studio in the Content Library pane.

Is this the first time you have used DIM? If so, are you aware that DIM installs by default into C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library, and do you have that library listed as a DAZ Studio and Poser Formats library inside DAZ Studio? Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager.

I think this picture is right for this question.

You still haven't said what Presets are missing?

Your DAZ Studio Formats seem to be correct, assuming that you have 2 DAZ Studio content folders, 'My Library' and 'My DAZ 3D Library'.

For Poser Formats, you also have C:/content, what is in that library folder? If there is DAZ Studio native content (NOT Poser) in that folder, it will not appear inside your DAZ Studio Formats in the Content Library pane. You would need to add that path to the DAZ Studio Formats as well.

You also appear to have Poser content inside the Program Files area, which is a very bad idea.

    Ok,

in the content folder are only poserfiles.
All presets are gone. I have nearly 100 files installed that usually schows a preset.
    They all gone.

Figures, clothing, expressions, poses, nothing is there.

I can use them from the content directory but this is a circuitous way.

    Thanks for your efforts !

Ah, so you are saying that your Smart Content is missing? Presets are something else

Have you tried reimporting Metadata from the Content Library drop-down menu? Go to DB Maintenance, and use the option to 'Re-install Metadata' as shown below.

If that doesn't work, is CMS running in the Task Manager, if not, go to Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D and start it from there.

The re-import of the metadata doesn`t help.

    CMS is running, I think.

Can you show me a screenshot of your Content Library pane as shown below? If there is a small triangle next to Products and Categories, then CMS is usually running properly.

Did you install the two 'PostgreSQL CMS' items that were in DIM, you can check this by going to the Installed tab in DIM?

Are ALL items missing from Smart Content, or just ones that you created yourself? If they are all missing, then your database may have become corrupted, and that is why DAZ 3D have supplied the PosetgreSQL database to use instead. You could try installing the two PostgreSQL items in the DIM, and then trying to reinstall the Metadata again.

You would probably be better to install PostgreSQL anyway, it is a more stable database than Valentina when working with DAZ Studio.

You can also uninstall CMS first, by going to C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\Content Management Service\Uninstallers and running
'Remove-DAZContentManagementService.exe' from that location. That will remove CMS completely. Go to All Programs > DAZ 3D and Stop the CMS first, just in case part of it is running.

After that, reinstall DAZ Studio 64 bit from DIM by uninstalling it first from the Installed tab, and then reinstalling it again. That may get everything working again. If not, then install the two PostgreSQL files in the DIM.

    I have uninstalled CMS.

    Re-installed DaZ Studio 64 bit

    reloaded the metadata

Now some presets are back, but most of them are still gone and there is no cms anymore.
    SQL 64 bit installed.

Are the triangles back in Products and Categories?

Can you post a screenshot of your Smart Content pane please?

I don't see how some of your Smart Content can be showing, but other parts are missing. If CMS is not running, there will be NO content in the Smart Content pane.

You have Not selected anything in Products to Show. The Base path B holds nothing, select a product to list the contents.

If you installed the PostgreSQL CMS, then DS is getting the CMS data from Postgres..exe, not from contentmanagementserver.exe
