Reorientating the move, scale, rotating gizmo?

in The Commons
Hi,
Just wondering, is it possible to reorientate the scaling, rotating and moving gizmo in Daz Studio? Often times I have moved a prop or a figure in such a way, it would be real handy to be able to reallign the gizmo to the world axes to be able to move and rotate my figure or prop better.
Thanks a lot,

You can't re-orientate it randomly but you can choose what it uses as a reference.
Open the Tool Settings Tab, and when you have the Universal Tool active (that's the one with the gizmo) there will be a dropdown menu where you can choose the coordinates. There are 5 different options, one of them is bound to do what you want, usually :)
Thanks!!!
One thing I often do is create nested nulls for ascension, elevation, and distance with the actual object the child at the end of the chain. Not only does this avoid any gimbal lock issues and ensure everything is independent, but effectively does let you orient the gizmos arbitrarily when used with the options Esha mentioned.

You can do this in the Joint Editor.
Just move the Centre Point to where jou want the Gizmo to be.
