Why do my gift cards never work?

I have bought 3 now and this happens every time. I submit a ticket and they fix it right away but still, This can't be happening to everyone  is it?

    As it hasn't happened to me, I can confidently declare that it isn't happening to everyone.  I buy a card, I get an email, I click on the code, I redeem the code and the balance of my store credit increases by the number of dollars I put on the gift card.

    In an ideal world, the page would switch to show your credit transactions, but one has come to lower one's expectations.

    For the last several years, I have aways had to submit a ticket to get the gift card code.  I have tried waiting over a week just incase sales was completely swamped, but no luck. The codes have worked every time once I get them.  But before that, I would automatically receive the code within a couple of hours or less.

    I bought many in the last couple months. It only happened to me once. I used to just click and claim, but since i had a problem that one time i decided to first check the balance of the card, just in case code generation and card balance were out of sync.

    Also, i supose you are not using paypal. If you are, check the second mail, there is another code.

    I always use a credit card to buy gift cards.  Does it work better with PayPal?

    I can't recall ever using Paypal at Daz.  Just curious, as I'd heard about the confusion with getting two different codes when you do.

    I've only ever used PayPal to buy GCs and I've gotten two emails every time, and pretty quickly. Sometimes there's a 1-2 mnute delay between the two emails, but other than that, I've never experienced an issue with redeeming them or their balance.

    I only use Paypal and never got an issue. The second code always works.

    Usually copy/paste from the email has worked for me. However the last time it did not BUT simply clicking on the code did! And the code number was different but it worked. I can't recall getting 2 emails for one gift card that I have purchased - but then I don't use PayPal, maybe that's a thing if/when using PayPal.

    I always get two emails and one works and the other doesn't  always wondered about it

    One suggestion to try ... if you are copying the code from the email and pasting it into the box on the Daz site, check that there are no empty spaces before or after the code when you paste it - it almost always happens to me and that little space will stop it from working.

    I usually get two codes in one email. The first code usually doesn't work but the second does.

    I always get only one, and it always works.  Always pay with credit card.

    It usually happens when you have multiple gift cards in your cart at once, dump all of them but one, and then go purchasing it. You'll wind up getting 2 gift card code but only the 2nd one will work. The 1st one won't. Or or that the other way around? But I'm pretty sure it's related to the total number of gift cards you had in your cart at once.

    Given that the system sometimes generates two similar emails in quick succession, I'd say to check your spam folder to make sure a second email isn't being flagged and moved out of your inbox automatically. Probably not the case, but worth a shot if nothing else can be identified as the cause of the issue.

    I always use PayPal, and most of the time I get two codes. But you click on them, see which one has the money ("check balance" button), and you know which to redeem. It's a bit confusing at first, but way better than not receiving the code at all.

    Redeem them, and then check your balance. It's probably there. There is no feedback when you successfully redeem the card, but you can see it on your balance.

    Like someone said before check spam folder. Also, some mail clients like gmail or zoho have a feature that groups related mails like a conversation. When you open you only see one but there is another, you need to look either at the biggining or end to "expand" the view.

    Did you check your Store Credit balance? Sometimes it doesn't look like the code applied but did.

    Yep, I tried that with both codes. They both say 'Current balance $0.00'.
