FABRIC RENDERING IN STRIPES

Hello experts!

A DAZ3d noob here.

I bought the flying fabric and is there something wrong with my settings?

The default fabric works fine but the moment I change it to linen or something, it looks like stripes.

Anybody know how to make the different fabric work?

I might be offbase here, but aren't MDL materials meant to be used in 3delight render engine and not iray? If I am right, it might not be autoconverting well.

On nevermind, I was thinking of RSL, herp derp.

    Check the tiling settings.

Maybe tell us what shader set you are using and one of us can do a test run to see what might be causing it.

The shaders come with the FLYING FABRIC. So I'd expect it to work properly. On some fabrics it works properly it seems. But in most I get this spaghetti stuff.

Is that an actual render or just preview? Preview isn't always accurate.

Did you adjust the surface settings after you applied the velvet or did you just apply the velvet and then the refelctive linen?

Using the white linen shader adds an Opacity map.  You will need to remove the map to get rid of the stripes.  It also sets the Opacity to .75.  You can leave it if you like the effect, or change it to 1 for complete opacity.
