    So sad, I was just reading an article he posted just a few days ago.  An exceptional entertainer and a true patriot.  He will be missed.

    Last week I saw an interview with Billy Cox, bassist with Jimi Hendrix after Noel Redding left the Experience, and he was saying after Jimi died, Charlie Daniels helped him out by hiring him to play bass on Mr. Charlie's tour for a year. He was real appreciative. RIP, you fiddle playin' feller.

    A friend of my met him at an event for vetrans last year. He gave him an autographed fiddle.
