GENESIS 8 initialization

My Genesis 8 is smiling by default.

Of course, if you clear the expression with a blanket, it will return to the original, but please tell me how to initialize it.

I tried uninstalling Genesis 8 Essentials and re-installing them as a valid method, but the result was the same.

Thank you.

    Could be another character or morph package that you added that has a default smile. After loading Genesis 8, check the parameters tab for "Currently Used" to see if you can isolate the guilty party.

  • Thanks for your comment.

    I didn't use a specific morphs package.

    However, the expression and mouse pose parameters were set, which caused the smile.

    I was able to solve it by initializing these parameters and saving them as actors.

    However, I uninstalled the  GENESIS 8 starter essential and deleted the files, but when I install it again, I doubt that the smile parameter is set as the initial value.

    thank you.

    "I didn't use a specific morphs package."

    You don't have to "use" any morph packages for some of them to be activated.

    If the maker of a morph that you have installed, has packaged it wrong (non-zero default value), every character you load will have that morph activated.

    Uninstalling starter essentials and re-installing them doesn't fix the problem, since the problem is not with them, but the morph you have installed.

    To fix any ill-behaving morphs, do as follows;

    1. Load your base figure or the developer version.

    2. Select "Show Hidden" in the Parameters-Tab, drop down menu (right-click)

    3. Zero the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)

    4. Memorize the figure (Found in Parameters-Tab, drop down menu)

    5. File->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets

    This procedure will zero the default value in the ill-behaving morph/morphs, and while saving DS also shows you a list of the morphs it is changing.

  • Thanks, Pertti A.
    I understand how it works.
    Thank you for your help.
