I need help with 3Delight error message #141 (Severity 1)

Whenever I try to spot-render part of a character to check on color matching, I receive the following message.
3Delight message #141 (severity 1) D2045: Pixel Reset To Box 1x1 (Display Driver Requirement).
I know my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop is not powerful, but it should handle spot-rendering. Does anybody know what this error means, and is is something I can fix without buying a new computer?

Do you not get the render anyway? Severity 1 errors are just shader errors the Render engine recompiles on the fly. It should still render.

D2045 PixelFilter reset to 'box' 1x1 (display driver requirement)
The display driver cannot accept the specified pixel filter. Forced to 1x1. The only display driver that could do this is the `dsm' display driver.

What's happening is the Pixel Filter you selected in your advanced render settings doesn't like your graphic drivers, it's reseting it to "Box" filter and forcing the Pixel Filter Width X & Y to 1.

It's a display driver issue, so checking to see if you have any updates for your graphics card could help.

    Taken from 3delight Manual
"D2045 PixelFilter reset to ’box’ 1x1 (display driver requirement)
The display driver cannot accept the specified pixel filter. Forced to 1x1. The only
display driver that could do this is the ‘dsm’ display driver."

It shouldn't be a big problem. It is not related to your graphic card but to the pixel filter on 3delight Display driver for Shadow Maps (I guess you're using Lights with Deep shadow maps)

It is just resetting the filter to "Box filter" at 1x1 for whatever reason. Your pixel filter settings may be too big for DSM.

You could try different values but I wouldn't bother with that

Sorry it took so long to get back to you all.
Thanks for the help! I was worried that the error was severe, but knowing its not a big deal now, I'll ignore it.

I get errors depending on the clothing I'm using. Some items materials create errors for some reason. It never really changes how the render looks though.
