Help - blocky Genesis 2 figure while posing

First of all, sorry if I've described this wrong but I don't know the 'proper' snappy words.
So I'm trying to pose the fine details of a G2F figure.
I use the parameter dials as I find I can fine control those better.
The problem is, as soon as I spin a dial, the mesh 'simplifies' into something lower res and blockier looking.
As soon as I let go of the dial, it reverts back to hires.
This is driving me mad as it makes fine posing to stop body parts sticking through the floor, etc., a nightmare.
Is this how G2 always was?
Is there an option I can swap to stop it happening? A secret hidden option, maybe?
Please help, you're my only hope...

Not secret, but not obvious. The Manipulation Draw style might be set to Solid Bounding Box. Go to the Draw Settings tab (open it from the Menu -> Window -> Panes (Tabs) if not already open) and look for Manipulation Draw Style. Click the drop-down list and select "Use Current (Off)". "Current" means the current draw style, like Texture Shaded, or whatever. The other settings might help to fine tune the response time a bit.
It's the same with Genesis 8 too. Default is SubD 1 but while manipulating it changes to Base res to enhance viewport fluidity.
Draw settings/General/Subdivision Updates -> Change to "Continuous".
The viewport performance might take a hit.
Brilliant!
Does exactly what I need - back to work for me - 1000 thanks
Thank you! Now I had to think about it I will use this setting too :)
