Knowledge Gap on Degrain Filtering

Hi all! So, I've realised I've got a bit of a knowledge gap going on (well, ok, I have loads, but one maybe you can help me with today). Sometimes I seem to have 3 "degrain" filtering options appearing in the filtering settings pane... and then, at others, these settings vanish like they never existed. I've been trying to figure out what I need to have toggled on/off to have these settings pop up but so far I'm drawing blanks and am starting to feel like I'm being gaslit by my render settings. Can anyone help?

 

Sorry to ask what is no doubt a bit of a dumb question...

If your preferences include saving render settings and some scenes did not have the degrain settings vidible or checked, that may account for what you see.

If they have totally vanished select Showw Hidden from the drop down in the upper left corner of vieport / upper right corner of Render Settings tab
