Before the Zombie Apocalypse bus version? - Answered

Before seeing FG Zombie Bus in the store today if you had asked me if I even wanted a school bus model I would have shrugged, "Not really" but something about that yellow school bus calls to me and while I have nothing against Zombie stuff in general I WANT IT ALL!

Can this be pared down to just a 'regular' school bus?

This question might have two answers, one being to hide all the zombie parts to leave the regular ol' school bus and I am okay with that (unless the zombie-proofing-plating geometry is hard-wired as one big mesh) or as indicated in the description: "• FG Original Bus" but as the promos do not show a version of a normal, non-zombie-proofed bus, I am not sure. I know I could buy it and return it, but hate doing that where I can avoid it. So, if anyone who has purchased it, or even if the PA could weigh in, that would be great - heck I'd even pay extra for a mod-pack to strip it back down for everyday pre-Zombie-Apocalypse use!  If anyone knows, or can try, I'd appreciate it!

    Yes, x2.
I can definitely use a Zombie School Bus for the apocalypse, but I would also like a normal School Bus.

If I buy it, I'll try to take off the apocalyptic stuff. I'm definitely thinking about getting it.

This is a weird era of Daz. Buses for the Bus Stop? ("Blood for the Blood God!!")

EDIT: Okay, downloading it now, along with the Killzombie modern weapon set & some other stuff... because MURICA, we lilke this kind of thing.

    OKAY, 30 second render. DONE.

Enough of the Zombie bits come off to make it look like a bus.

Some of the panels have graffiti, which shouldn't be THAT difficult to remove in PS/GIMP. (Just make it yellow, duh.) Otherwise, it's a relatively normal School Bus under all that!

Truly, we are in a golden age of Daz, where bus stops have buses!

Because I felt like it, here's the 60-second cleaner version of the School Bus (minus the zombie bits). I just painted over some of the graffiti.

The Partridge Family used one. In the music video towards the end the singer for the dual Mono for the song 'Life in Mono' walks along side a bus, and it's used symbolically again and again. Repurposed school busses are hipster cult. Churches I went to always used them repainted. One of my uncles bought one and set it on his land for a large attractive decorative storage shed. Beach goers and hipsters refurbish and paint them for a mobile home at times.

I wouldn't want to drive one or pay the gas and maintainance bills for one though.

    NP! Glad I could help!
I also really wanted a school bus, so this definitely fit what I wanted.

Re: The "FG Original Bus" thing.
This is just a material set for one of the color patterns.
(There's no pre-Apocalypse Bus setting, although it's easy to create through the multitude of Surface zones, as you can see.)

Thanks to your help, I have it in the cart now, and will play with it soon (away from my home computer right now).  I plan on either retexturing to get a clean pre-Zombie bus, or photoshopping existing textures for that effect.  Dirty glass in windows should be a breeze to retexture and clear up, texture files can be found and modified to add the usual school bus stuff (bus number, school district, or even the repurposed church bus as mentioned above.)  :)  Most awesome would be if the PAs would provide a clean version, but in lieu of that, this works. WOOHOO!!

And am I the only one who's mind went to a school bus FOR zombie children?  The plates and spikes are to protect them as they make their way to a fully integrated school. Non-Zombie people can be SO INTOLERANT!

Does it have dried chewing gum stuck to the bottoms of the seats?

Those are basic level school bus projects. A Canadian couple built the largest private underground Nuclear Fallout shelter in North America by burying a whopping 42 schoolbuses and covering them with concrete.  The completed structure can house up to 500 people for several months, and you can see full schematics and video of the finished bunker at the link above, but here's a shot of the first 30 or so buses being buried...  Crazy, huh?

Does the bus have any moving parts? Doors? Wheels? Wiper Blades? Etc?  Or is it a static prop?

I'll check later, unless of course, you are just trying to get someone to say, "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round."  <LOL>

Yeah, I had to bite my tongue when I saw the question because I don't own the bus.

Upon a very, very quick initial inspection, it looks like the only thing moveable is the door, which has a slider for 'Open'.  I could be wrong, but am running a render now so can check more thoroughly when that is done.
