Searching in metadata (Smart Content) for artist, tags etc.

So I currently setup my runtime again (don't ask!) and want to use metadata much more. I get used to creating products from stuff I purchased elsewhere to discover with smart content. But I wonder how one might search for a particular artist or certain tags. I can add such info to the product but the search field in the smart content pane seems to only look up the product name and nothing else. Is there an expert mode maybe or do I have to search elsewhere?

I found this by clicking the author name into the Info tab below the Smart Content (could be closed, there are two tabs: Tips and info.. Then you can click the search icon to the left of the field to save as a custom filter.. this should not even require custom metadata, just the author tag into the product you create..

but I never did such a thing, so it's just a speculation.. it should work hopwever
