dFormers "washing out" fabric colors?

'Very new to dFormers's and love the capabiltiy, but I'm noticing that -- only in those areas overlaid by a dFormer mesh -- fabric colors seem to fade and lose their contrast.  As always, I suspect I'm doing something wrong: any insight from those who've seen this?  The dFormer mesh overlays the left-hand portion of the attached render -- yes, there is a lighting difference between left and right-hand sides, but trust me: the loss of contrast is real.

You streched the mesh, so the texture is streched too.

  • Yes, of course the mesh is stretched -- but I've never seen this decrease color saturation.  Moreover, there are stretched sections of mesh -- where the dFormer mesh does not overlay -- where color saturation has NOT been diminished.  This is why I'm attributung the problem to the dFormer -- not lighting or stretching.  Any help, anyone?

  • Ummm -- I should say I've never seen a stretched mesh cause color desaturation when I stretch using collision/smoothing iterations.  These are my first attempts at stretching fabric with dFormers.
