Am I allowed to share a "scene"?

Edited: Changed set to scene in the title.

I don't want to break any rules.

What is the protocol to find folks to try a set out?

It's JUST the SET (On the Farm is what I'm using) NOT THE ASSETS. You would have to own "On the Farm" for this to work.

I need someone to load it and see what they think...what's missing, what would they like to see more of?

Sample renders from the set are below...(they're not ideally lit because I'm just using Dome and Sun so things are in the shadows...but...I think it gives some of them a more real feel)

  • In the Gallery, you are allowed up Upload the Scene file for your image (i.e. all the information, but not the assets for the shot).

I would THINK you can do this without issue since it's supported in the Gallery.

You an share a scene, yes, but not one of those included with the product itself.

    Sure, that would make sense.

I can see no way to do this in the Gallery. Can you provide a hint?

Attaching here to see if this would work.

As it's my first attempt I simply don't know if it'll work right. Need someone to confirm it loads and renders properly.

I suppose the protocol to find folks who have the same assets as you is to post in the forums. From time to time you'll probably want to post a new request, in the same thread, to keep your stuff high up in the list of topics.

There are other web pages that have attempted...

(Edit) I just had a funny browser crash while I was typing this. I made a screen shot of that, but to continue I was saying that there are other 3D and procedural art forums but I haven't tried them.

Your renders seem to be reasonable, brights are good and there's detail in the darkest darks like the barn window... you could always adjust the levels on that area later.

In terms of composition there might be a bit too much foreground in the first image; the tall format should show more treetops and less foreground... just my two cents.

Second image has too much bokeh and there is a color shift from the plants on the left, to the plants on the right.

Third scene (which took a long time to load, for me - at first I didn't know there was a third picture!) is fine for an "approaching late afternoon" 3D render. The weeds are a bit bland and I personally would skip the bokeh on the nearest flowers. Why don't you have a farm cat coming around the corner towards the camera, maybe carrying a suitcase?

Attached, a screenshot of where the scene file is supposed to do, in the DAZ web pages gallery. I just chose one of my own pictures at random.

All your feedback is great! I agree there's a lot that I can do to improve the compesition. What I'm thinking to do is create a product of "scenes" and "sets" that are kind of like the equivalent of poses for figures. In this instance its the "On the Farm" product. I'm providing a scene that recreates the sales image for that product as a set up isn't provided with the product normally. I wanted to get feedback on the "scene" and, of course, the feedback you provided was very helpful in how I show off that scene.

If i were to add a cat (scary because I was thinking exactly that) I would then say that you need "On the Farm" AND "Daz Cat 2" or whatever. Which is fine but not the goal of this project.

I sure hope all that makes sense.

I looked all over. I didn't realize you had to click the picture to add the scene! This was great! Thanks!!!!!
