Clothing that hides the underlying characters body surface question....

I have an issue with a pair of pants...when I put it on the character... the item hides part of the torso underneath them....

The problem occurs at certain camera angles...it is obvious there is no body inder the hip region...right at belt level...and the body undernieth is hidden in a very un-natural way...it looks all jagged like a bad graft...

I have looked to find where the function is, that is hiding the body part...

I can see no opacity maps or any toggle of body part visibility...anywhere....

Is there another place that I could look?

Ugh...that could be problematic....which leaves me with my current solution...

I wind up doing two renders...one with pants on, then pants off...then photoshoping in the empty spots....which is a pain...

Found a solution.....it was easier than I thought.

I wound up creating a geometry shell....

I placed the torso texture on that, hiding all other parts of the shell...then I used a smoothing modifier  on the pants ...with the new shell as the collision item...

No more invisible body under the pants!

    Thanks!

You can also use the Geometry Editor tto select a polygon that doesn't matter and then, via right-click menu, assign it to the AutoHide Group for Fitted Items and select the pants.
