Problems with setting up a model, the dragon.

Hi, really new to this.

I'm trying to move my dragon into a position but when I do that, it puts it on the timeline and it moves it in like an animation but all I want to do is set the scene up, and then animate it but when I move the whole model it animates it. Is there anyway to move it without it being on the timeline? e.g I rotate the dragon and it puts it on the timeline and I don't want it to be on there I just want it rotated.

I'm not sure what you mean here. All figures are on the Timeline when loaded into DAZ Studio. Your Viewport is always on frame 0 of the timeline at load as are all things you load. Only actions on other frames that create a key frame cause animation when played.

When I move the entire dragon as a whole, I don't want that to be translated onto the timeline. Like if I move the dragon from point A to point B and then I go to my timeline and hit plays, that happens and you can see the movement from point A to B. All I want to do is move it so I can position him and set him up for a scene.

I'm still lost. That should not happen Unless your moving the figure on a different Frame. Then the translation from the last position to the new one is exactly what your telling DAZ Studio to do in the animation.
What exactly are you wanting to do? Have the dragon disappear from one place and then appear in another with a different pose? That is done a very different way in Animation than just moving it from place A to place B on the timeline.
