Wishlist purple banner

Hi.
Is the wishlist purple banner for anything in your wishlist or is there a list of items to choose from? I tried with some items in my wishlist and it doesn't work. And I don't see a list either.

I clicked on the link in the banner and it only gave me 4 items none of which were in my wish list, apparently, it is only the "most popularly wishlisted" items. (at least that is what I get from it reading it really quick like I did.)
Ah, I must have overlooked that. I see them. Big pass for me.
It's a very oddly constructed sale. I see ten items, three of which I already own, and four of which are not and probably never have been on my wishlist.
It's not supposed to be items from your wishlist but items which are in the wishlist of a lot of people.
I got a banner exclaiming that since I "owned every Michael known to DAZ" (and couldn't take advantage of the free Michaels deal) that they'd give me an additional 20% off my next order <today only>.
But 20%? C'mon guys dig deeper.
Although I am considering very seriously the new "Scar" character and his yummy hard leather loincloth/harness.
Same for me
the Michael 20% off deal works on everything including fastgrab and PC+ stuff
Would be better if we could pick from our own wishlists.
That's a discount on your whole cart, which combines with other discounts, and doesn't list any restrictions on which items you can purchase (except not repurchasing previously owned items cheaper). For owning figures which have been given away for free countless of times. Sounds pretty good to me.
This is the second or the third time they've done this sale. It's beyond annoying. I know that people could just put stuff on their wishlists and then get the discount. So put some restriction like the item has to have been on the wishlist for a week or something.
I don't get why the limited 10 item selection for the wishlist promo. It's not like we don't get regular BYOB with 50% off (a couple month ago was even one at 60% off). I even got an email with the codes and the promo is not from items from the list, i hate when they do that; they teese you with one thing but give you another.
And about the other code for today. Too bad i don't own all Michaels, i'm missing m6. Those 20% off cart discounts are really good, they usually work with Gift Cards so it works and someone was targeting Kayo, would mean a 36% off gift card.
not on fastgrab tried on some but will work on new releases
Same. Meh. LOL

That is not an issue. It doesn't work on YOUR wishlist. It only works on a list of 10 items that Daz preselected, linked to by the button in the offer.
It's too bad the wishlist coupon requires 3+ items to get the 60% off. I have most of what's being offered, so for me to get the 60% I'd have to get something I don't want.
That 20% coupon is hidden behind the first banner. If I hadn't clicked the wishlist banner off I never would have seen it.
Dangit, not our own wishlists.
I thought Daz was gonna get a lot of my money! Now? Pass.
...same here, Even at 40% off for one the ones that even interest me are still too expensive.
The four items that are left aren't on my wishlist either. Quite disappointing really.
Using the Michael 20% coupon on the Kayo 8 sale ended up giving me 42% off my gift card ... best I've gotten off a gift card yet!
I don't even have the wishlist banner... but I guess it's nothing to be sad about! :-)
Yes, I was already to buy the last 5 West Park/Park Side/Nothern Terrace items I hadn't already bought before I realized that sale was for other people's wishlists that only wishlist expensive items.
It's not that I don't appreciate that DAZ is offering discounts, but for me they don't mean much anymore. I do seriously consider new items or items that have been on my wishlist for years when they come up as 70% off. But because of my budget, only rarely do I ever have a DAZ cart totalling more than $20. And I only buy about once a month.
So, 20% off isn't even worth thinking about.
With the little I buy from DAZ anymore I've never bitten for a 20% sale at DAZ. It's like a 20% bigger peanut. Heck I spend $4 on a couple candybars. Now, if I were buying a ton of peanuts, 20% discount might mean something.
Here's a suggestion for DAZ... how about the discount rate be linked to a formula incorporating the length of time as a customer, and the total amount spent on DAZ products over the years. With the discount asymptotically approaching 100%
Yeah, yeah, I know, not practical. But the old-timers would love it.
Wow. It seems that while the last GF sale banner (was it saturday?) is no longer visible, it still works. So in theory max discount (on a 200+ GC) would be: 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.85 : 45.6%
Probably not working as intended.
I realise that now, but you have to read the coupon very carefully to realise that's the case. Here's what it says:
Why put in all that guff about wishing something would go on sale and now it has and you can finally buy it, when it's actually just a handful of items of Daz's choosing going on sale that you quite likely don't want. That's just a way to annoy people.
Well, it sounds better than you can finally get what other people are wishing for.
The banners at the top of the page sometimes don't appear for a day or three. Check your store messages, that seems to be a bit more reliable. Keep in mind that the banner isn't the sale offer, it just lets you know about the actual offer, which is the message.
Note that the Store Messages aren't the same as the Forum Private Messages — click the little blue man menu at the top of the page, then select Messages.
Thank you - but I do not have the banner, or an accompanying message. It is likely only for certain people, as per usual. From the comments, though, I can reasonably gauge that my wishlist and Daz's do not coincide, so I am more piqued than distressed :-)
I'm pretty upbeat usually but dang, this "offer" got me excited only to just be a major fizzle. Only 10 items to pick from, half I own already. And you have to buy THREE just to get the 60% off.
It probably wouldn't have been quite so disappointing if it hadn't rolled out with glitches so that it took over an hour for the page to actually show what products where being offered. So the wording of the offer got me excited:
Sounds awesome!
Over an hour of refreshing the page later ...10 items, half I own. And you have to purchase THREE to get the 60% discount with no other stacking.
Erm, let me fix that for you:
"Have you ever wished a couple of items that already fairly frequently go on sale would go on sale for 60% off but you have to purchase at least three of them to get that discount? No? Well, here you go anyway."
I know.. I know, I'm being awful. Gift horse, mouth... I'm just pretty disappointed. Ah well... as they say "there's always another sale".
Thanks for the chuckle :D
