Wow, there's a lot of cool stuff here... Perfect for everyone from Marie Curie to Dr. Jeykll to Professor Snape!

A lot of the items like the banker's lamp, rocking chair, books, clock, rug, etc. should find plenty use in non-chemistry renders, too. Can't wait!

OK I "think" I am all done posting images unless anyone wants to see anything specific :) If so just let me know. Later I try and put up some of the features lists etc and how we broke the pack up etc and all that :)

I'm in love and will be using much of this in Sci-Fi renders too... Lab styles may change but the basic tools stay pretty much the same. Want this set now to be truthful, would love to be setting up the set already, for the scene in my head.

Love the look of this set, will doubtless snatch it up when I get my money (if it's out by than).

Perhaps needs a table with manacles or straps on it, so as to put a skeleton or autopsied dead body upon (be it a human, vampire, werewolf, small dragon/creature or other)... Wonder if there's something like that from another set which could be mixed in with this.

    You mean like this? :)

Pretty much! Was thinking less contraption/mechanical-based and more of a traditionally four-legged Victorian autopsy slab, but that could certainly be substituted.

Except that this is a chemistry lab not an autopsy lab. Potions, diet drinks, that sort of thing.

HEHEHE on the Authors...yeah I am silly like that LOL My kids names were used, the mods, some of the CVs, our names, some DAZ Employees LOL I combined first names in most cases etc to get the names. Like our boys are Kyle and Michael so the name was Kyle Michael's. Makes the packs more personal to us kinda :)

The written pages for the open book also has short stories, hand sketches etc on them for anyone who cares to read/look at them. We put little nuggets like that in lots of packs :)

Fantastic set, and worth bending the budget to obtain. The only drawback I see is the lack of colored bottles. Many chemicals are light sensitive. Chloroform, beside it's medical uses, was commonly used as a solvent. Almost every lab had some. It was stored in dark brown bottles.

On the bottle colors, yes we did consider the dark colored bottles etc though with all the pieces in the set adding in brown options and possibly the dark green as well along with the Mapped versions and True Reflect versions was making it a bit too large. If the set does well and people want some more options etc, we could always do a small add on for it or something though.

That said it would be easy enough I think to change the glass color by changing the diffuse and spec settings as needed if it is something needed sooner than that :)

ATM I am playing with the set LOL and setting up a scene of a different sort.

I did want to take some time to thank everyone for all your kind words, we really appreciate it. It means a lot to us :) so BIG THANKS!! :)

Thanks for the reply. Rummaging through my props section, I found a set of glass shaders that should work.

Just having a little fun :) The props have a lot of uses to make for a great Sherlock Holmes type study and if I would have kit bashed (I decided not to in this instance just so I didn't confuse people on what was or wasn't included) I could have added in all sorts of fun relics etc especially if I mixed this with some of the props from The Royal Court and maybe even some odds and ends from the Dungeon and then there is all the sets of misc props people like Maclean etc make. Could see making a lot of fun, complex scenes :) Might make for a fun detective's office as well. When I did this in black n white I kept hearing that "She coulda walked into any office but she chose mine" narration LOL

Looks really good. Could be transformed into a Wizards study or Alchemists lab.

This is a very nice looking set and I've often needed a room like that.
One question - will the fire place be removable?

Yes and no? LOL The walls are all saved as separates so while the fireplace is not removeable on that wall, it is possible to load the wall from the other side of the room and rotate it 180 degrees and move it in place and use that wall instead which doesn't have the fireplace :)
