Buying a model
Hello
Im new to Daz so before I make a purchase I wanted to ask and get your professional opinions and helps:
-Im in need of a male character. This will be my games main character. He is supposed to be 18 years old, handsome and football player..
1- if I buy any male model (maybe geneysis 8 male) can I use that character? Do I need something specific like I'm making this up eg: mark 4 model.
2- When I buy the model, can I change the age of the character?
3-I know that we need morphs in order to edit the models. I know that I need to buy face morhp definitely. What else do I need for morphs? Body morph hand morph are they separate?
4-I will need genitals for all my models. How do I add that?
If you guys can provide me a link that I can buy that model or morph I appreciate it.
Thank you

Since you mention that this is a Visual Novel I would assume you are going to be using 2D renders in game, rather than actual 3D data - if that is so then you don't need the Interactive License for the content.
1 Yes, you can use the free base figure
2 that would require add-ons - an older character for that figure, or a morph set/possibly texture overlays
3 Hand morphs are part of the body morphs.
4 For each base figure (Genesis # Male/Female) you need the matching Anatomical Elements - these are inclluded in most adult Named Character Pro Bundles. Check that any characters you want to use heer incude textures/materials for the Anatomical Elements - not all do..
Not sure where Richard sees the visual novel part, but if indeed the use is only the use of 2D images, then you don't need any of the interactive licenses. If it is for an original (cannot use for any mods) 3D game, you need to purchase an interactive license for each addon you use, or purchase from the store
the base model comes with Daz Studio. You will need to either purchase an addon character (that might require the base morphs, but not always) or just purchase the base head and body morphs to create the character you want yourself
the genesis 8 male morphs are here

As pointed out, to get the genitals you will need to purchase one of the pro bundles, but keep in mind that textures for the genitals only come with adult characters and not all character addons have genital textures since that is up to each PA to provide those.
hair, clothes and accesories will be extra purchases, but some come with the pro bundles
Hi
Yes this is indeed for a VN. Richard saw that in my previous message.
So what I understand from your answers the best option is to buy bundles. In that case I have few more Questions:
1- Which male model (bundle) do you prefer? Should I buy?
2- Im assuming I can create multiple different characters from that model bundle by playing with its morphs. Is this correct?
3- For genital parts. If I buy 1 model with genitals can I apply the same genital to a different model? And change its size/shape (except texture I guess. Unless I repaint the textures) with morphs?
4-Lastly, can I not buy genitals separately? Like buying hairs.. If yes what should I look for as I search for genitals etc in shop but couldn't find anything
Thank you
No, you can't buy genitals separately here, only as part of a pro bundle. There are 3rd party products available separately at other sites like Renderotica (warning, that site is very NSFW!)
1. That would be up to you, ook through the content included and decide which is most useful on balance
2. Most characters are a single morph, at least for the head, so you can mix them freely but they won't allow for making precise adjustments to specific areas -that's the province of morph packs.
3. The elements should move with the body, though very uneven reshaping in the groin area may result in distortion (I've rarely used either set). You do, though, need to have matching materials in the charaters you use to avoid obvious shifts at the borders. Daz doesn't sellll morphs, and there is only a very limited range included - other store have add-on morph sets.
4. Daz doesn't sell anatomical elements except as part of the bundles. There are other sets at other stores, but you need to be very careful to make sure that they are self-contained sets (rather than an add-on for the Daz set) and you do need to be aware that materials can be an issue.
I believe prices for those are cheaper + I think it has more options available. I just need to figure out how can I implement those genitals to models that I purchase here I guess.
why add ons are bad? If you can explain that would be great. Thank you
Not bad, but if the set requires the Daz Anatomical Elements to work it isn't a solution to buying a set without needing to buy a Pro Bundle.
Ah i got your point. I guess I will buy and try after reading what I'm buying carefully. Thank you
Note that "for all your models" isn't an issue — you don't need to buy one for every character. There is one Anatomical Bit for male and female, for each Genesis generation. If you have the one for the male Genesis 8 figure, whether through buying a Pro Bundle or buying from Renderotica, it will fit on every male Genesis 8 character you have.
What you do need for every character is the textures for the Anatomical Bits; as noted upthread, a lot of the Genesis 8 males do include the textures, but some don't. Read the What's Included part of the character's store page carefully to make sure what you're getting.
Richard said it might be unmatching elemnts like skin tone or other things. Now I'm confused. If I buy 1 pro bundle which has genitals, can Inot modify that? Like for example if its a penis, can i not change the shape size etc.? same for vaginas? the only bits I'm thinking would be problemlemetic is texture color..
There are very few morphs for changing the shape with the Daz Anatomical Elements, which is why you may want to look at other stores where you can buy morph sets for them (I believe). Many (but not all) character sets wiull include skin for the Daz Anatomical Ellements that match the rest of the character's skin.
