Just because I am against censorship does not mean I am open minded or should I say that being inclusive does not mean I have to accept certain lifestyles. I guess what I am saying is I wish that there was a "hide" a button in the galleries so I can click away something that makes me quesy. Also the ability to block people whose work I don't appreciate. This way DAZ can simply tell people who report works or write offensive comments to just hit the "hide" button if they don't like it.
DAZ can check my recent purchase history to see it is starting to fall off recently. mainly because of some of the content being posted in the galleries. I know I will probably get some backlash for this viewpoint but please consider if there is anything really wrong about this request.

Agreed and having a filter isn't the same as censorship. There are certain types of images at other sites I have no interest in seeing and I am able to set the exclusion in preferences, but I haven't seen an option like that here. Then again the image has to be tagged correctly in the first place for that to work and some users are dead set on forcing their images on the public.

At this point, I don't think there is anyway to hide gallery images, however, you do have the ability to "ignore" individuals in the forums, (click on the member's name in the left column to open their profile; click on the gear to the right of the Message button, select Ignore from the popup menu,) and if you install the Daz Deals browser plugin, you can click on the Hide Product From Listings button. There are situations where that won't work, but for the most part, you won't see those items listed in the store. (It won't prevent opening the product page, if you use the URL. For example, if someone posts a link in the forums and you click on it.)
i honestly don't know if you are being serious or jk, because saying which you "are against censorship" and for a "censor buttom", really make me a little "well..", last time i checked daz is not a "minor site" and even that they already have a huge censor, by not allowing pictures of "nude"( at last with skin materials and gens, you can still have a clay nude character but is clay omg), i would really love to see what are that "scare/terrible images" which must be banned forever!!, you are complain.
The OP isn't asking for a censorship button just a personal hide button, can't see anything wrong with that - for example I have arachnophobia so would like to hide pictures of spiders - is that censorship?

That would be a feature we see on other sites that allows the individual the option not to be exposed to something the individual does not like but leaves the content still available to others who have different tastes. I am not asking admin to "ban forever" anything. I agree with you though that I am complaining that a common feature available on FB and YT is not available on DAZ.

Yea guess that is a bit ironic; scorpions do not freak me out like spiders do ( although we don't get many scorpions in the east of England)
I don't think I've ever looked in the DAZ galleries.
But how this will help? You cannot hide a spider (suppose a spider) until you already seen it.

I think you want a "Hide All UserXYZ Galleries" filter, which shouldn't be too difficult for them to implement.

Private websites cannot.. They control content on their PRIVATE servers.
You're confusing censorship with violating the first amendment. Private websites absolutely can and do censor content.

One of the big reasons I stopped browsing the galleries here and at deviantart, is because they refuse to impliment a personal "hide user x" feature.
That can be fixed by using the "stop buying" feature. I plan on using it.
That makes little sense since the galleries are user based, so not purchasing from the store has little to no affect on them

Yes, a feature request to Daz is probably best - especialy with discussion of arachnidae creeping in.

I *completely* agree with the thread's original post/request for a set of 'filters' as an option for the gallery - I know one of the reasons that I don't post much anymore is apparently a number of people find my images to 'brutal' / disturbing (not necessarily gory - but rather the concepts I guess) and I kept getting things deleted / removed. This ability would benefit not just viewers by allowing them to avoid classes of images they do not wish to see, but (might) also benefit the posters as well in that DAZ might allow a bit more latitude on the images we post if there were an easy way for those wishing not to see them to not have them visible. This isn't really a question of censorship - merely a person seeking the ability to exercise their individual choice while still enjoying the site/community.
That said, I also think that 'punishing' the PAs and even the DAZ store (and therefore DAZ Studio dev team) because DAZ corporate has not implimented something we wish for to be a bit... petty? Certainly I adhere to the 'voting with your wallet' form of consumerism - but I hardly see it as Oso's or AntFarm's or whoever's fault that someone they have no influence over isn't jumping to my wishes. I think a lot more might be accomplished just by asking in the forums so that others may chime in to show support rather than to be confrontational about it. If DAZ sees that a number of people would like (or at least support for the sake of their fellows) this ability, they should and will respond accordingly to so simple a request.
seriously, daz3d knows me and my money are never going to leave... my requests and complaints about gallery organization and features and the crude content library have been mocked and ignored for years
Since the thrtead seems to be attracting a certain kind of reply, and the request is best addressed direct to Daz, I have locked it.
