Is it possible to run DAZ Studio 4.6 next to older versions?

Hello,

I'm unable to find information about running more than one versions of DAZ Studio next to each other at one system.

I've been running DAZ Studio 3.0 and 4.0 at one system for the last years without any problem. I can remember that there have been some issues installing 4.5 next to 4.0.

Is it possible to install 4.6 next to other versions without breaking the older ones?
The reason I'm asking is the SDK which is available for 4.5+ versions and which was missing for 4.0.

Considering smart content and cms I think that could get me into trouble, but I'm not using smart content within 4.0 and don't think I'll use it with 4.6, too.

Did anyone of you install the latest DAZ Studio 4.6 successfully next to older versions?

Thanks in advance

As far as I know, there are only two ways to run 4.0 and 4.6 both on the same machine; the first is to run the 32-bit version of one and the 64-bit version of the other. The second is by using DIM to install the 4.6 beta beside your 4.0 release.

You can only have DAZ Studio 4 anything and a DAZ Studio 4 Beta installed at the same time. All versions Of DAZ Studio 4+ will use the same config, and Registry settings and any Database program. So it is not possible to have DAZ Studio 4.0 and DAZ Studio 4.6.3.50 as a side by side install. You could have DAZ Studio 4.0 and a DAZ Studio Beta side by side. I do at this time. The Beta does not cross talk with the Full versions.

EDIT: Even 32 bit and 64 bit will share configs.

Thank you both for the information, so I guess I go for now with the beta to take a look at the new version and at the SDK :)
