Facegen face isnt lining up

The face looks fine eyes open etc in facegen, however when you apply it to the genesis 8 female it doesnt adhere to the face of the genesis female. What am I doing wrong?

Adjust your UV setting there in the Shader  --  It is most likely set to something other than what is needed.

FaceGen includes a detailed shader/material page for where/how to apply the mats correctly after you export your newly created face morph target for Daz Studio...

Hold up. In the image you linked, the texture has ears directly beside the face. That is not a Genesis 8 UV texture, Take a look at other G8 textures, the ears are up in the top corners of the face UV. So something doesn't make sense here.

Do you have Facegen Artist? There are multiple versions of Facegen, and they have one specifically for Daz which has Artist in its name.

Facegen Artist will have options to choose which Genesis to export to, assuming you have the Pro version. The basic version, which is only offered at Facegen's own site, only supports older Genesis models.

It looks to me that you have the wrong version of Facegen. The good news is that the .fg files that you save within Facegen can be loaded into any version of Facegen. So you can save your face in Facegen and load it in Facegen Artist.
