G8F gloves will not fit G8F custom character morph

I am combining two G8F character morphs, one of which causes a slight modification in the size/shzpe of G8F's hands. Consequently, the G8F-degigned gloves that I wish to use do not encase the fingers properly. I have identified the one full-body character morph that is the culprit, but retaining it is critical. How can I transfer the character's hand shape to the gloves?

Is it a custom morph enbedded in the scene? Do the gloves take otther morphs OK?

It's a custom morph that accommodated the gloves fine by itself, but when I dial in the second body character morph, the gloves no longer fit. I can watch it occur as I move the second character morph dial.

How extreme is the morph? Have you tried dialing the morph, adjusting rigging to shape, and then adding the gloves?

Check that "autofollow" is enabled for that second morph!

It's not extreme at all, but how do I check to see if autofollow is enabled for just that one morph?

Besides starting with both morph before adding the gloves as previosly said; see if the glove has a correction morph for the shapes you are trying. Maybe this is my noob self speaking, but also you can increase collisions, i found that sometimes works when not using a standard figures.

In the upper right corner click on the little cog wheel to open the parameters settings pane, there is a checkbox for autofollow.

ETA: The gloves probably need to be unfitted and re fitted after editing the settings.

Sadly, I tried all that to no avail.

Yup. it's on. I know it's the Michaela body morph that's causing the issue when combined with a mildly customized character.

    Sounds like you must acquit.

    So to summarize:

    • The gloves fit G8F Base
    • The gloves still fit with only CustomMorph applied to body.
    • The gloves still fit with only Michaela Morph applied to body
    • The gloves do not fit with both morphs applied

    Is this correct?

    • Now when you apply morphs to a figure and have clothing fitted, the clothing gets those morphs projected (if it does not already have custom made ones)
Those may be hidden. So you'll have to turn on show hidden to see them (on the gloves item!)
Then you can dial out those projected morphs on the gloves. This might help. Depends on how extrem the body morphs actually are
    • Assuming the clothes have to little adjustment morphs themselves and no "expand all", you can also add a push modifier to expand the gloves polygons along their normal a bit.
    • You could use mesh grabber to fix minor poke through

Thank you. I'll have to try this later today. I found the hidden morphs for another character body morph (which causes no problems) that I'm trying instead of Michaela, and it does affect the glove fit. I'll post the result once I get time to play with it. Thank you again.

Well, that worked! I had to show the hidden Michaela morphs for the gloves and dial them back. Her hands must be decidedly different from those of a default G8F. Thank you!!!!
