Duplicate icons for files in multiple products

Sometimes multiple products install the same file to the same location.  For example, the Now-Crowd billboard products install scripts for orienting the billboards, changing the angle, etc.  If you aren't installing them with Connect, there's only one file that they all reference.  In DS4.8, only one icon is shown in Categories, but in DS4,9+ a separate icon is displayed for each product.  Is there any way to only display the item once?
