dForce HD Elven Royal Armor [commercial]

MikeDMikeD Posts: 299

The product is the perfect wearable set for your elven, orc, medieval, or fantasy scene.

The outfit includes three inner clothes items (shirt, pants and boots) and 10 outer parts (a helmet, a tiara, a chest, pauldrons with embedded cape, vambraces, a waistband, a skirt, a pair of plate boots, a sword case and a sword). The set includes some HD morphs (SubD Level 4) to give unique shape details to each item. The skirt and the cape are dForce items in order to have a more natural movement in your scene. The product includes the ‘iron’ version of the items and one HD morph (shape 01).

Loading a plate item from the set, new realistic limits will be applied to the figure’s bones rotations, that affected by this item. The limits return to the original ones if the item reparented, set un-visible in the scene, or be deleted. You can turn this feature off and on, any time, using an included script.

Another script is responsible to apply SubD render levels and HD morphs to all set items that exist on the selected figure at once, so you have not to do it manually for each item individually. The H.Materials presets are also scripts that load the suitable HD morph if needed.

Some hair morphs in the Helmet and the Tiara squeeze the figure’s hair in order to reduce the poke through.

I hope you enjoy the set. Have fun!

The add on includes two new colors for the inner clothes (gold and bronze), two new colors for the outer outfit (shiny gold and black matte with bronze and iron wear). It also includes four new HD morphs for each one of the plate items and two new skirt patterns. A set of colors have been added for the inner and the outer surface of the cape.

The scripts of the original package recognize the add on and will include the new items to their menus.

I hope you enjoy the set. Have fun!

So, really dumb question, this hasn't been released yet, correct? I can't believe I'd have missed this, and I can't find it in the store. blushwink

I ask because the last part sounded like the original had been released and this was an addon coming up. So I'm guessing this is entirely new and I can stop searching. :D It looks great!

No, not released yet ... smiley

I made this post for support of the main armor and the add on, so I added both descriptions at the paragraph...

Some (hopefully constructive) feedback: I like that it's unisex and I like the armour parts a lot, but the fabric parts could be textured much more interestingly.

Thanks for the feedback .... I will try to change something in the chain mail (the inner clothes) to make them look better...

^I think the chain-mail is fine (though options are always good) but it looks a little more like wool (especially in the Gold version) - is metallicity on for it?

    Otherwise this looks awesome :)

Am I supposed to see this? Where are the materials? Installed with DAZ Central.

    Hey Leoo4,

Thanks for bringing this up .... No, normally you should see something like this:

The problem is not with the product itself but it is packed wrong for distribution (the metadata show wrong files). I rarely use the smart library so I hadn' t see it so far, so thanks for the heads up ...
I am testing the whole bundle right now and as I can see this happens to all the items, and not only to the male chest armor .... I will send a ticket to DAZ about this and I am working to find a temporary solution ... stay tuned ...

    Sorry for the inconvenience!

    Thanks for the comment

    - Mike

Ok, Leo and everybody else having this issue:

    - I have sent a ticket to DAZ to change the metadata of the files.

In the meantime you can do some things to temporarily resolve this issue:

    1) You can use the Content Library (I guess you know that) that is working fine. You can find the products under the folder:

Your Library/People/Genesis 8 Male (or Genesis 8 Female)/Clothing/MikeD/Elven Royal Armor (the materials are under the MAT/Iray folder)

    2) You can add some icons into the folder to replace the missing ones. For this one you will have a more permanent solution that will work with the smart library as well. You will have to make the next steps:

    - Download the Icons for the Male Armor from https://www.dropbox.com/s/3sjjo7hmamztkp6/Elven_Armor_Male_Icons.zip?dl=0 and/or the icons for the Female Armor from https://www.dropbox.com/s/5byo632sd7plsvt/Elven_Armor_Female_Icons.zip?dl=0 (the files are for the main products and for the add on)

    - Unzip the files and copy the .png files into the folder Your Library\data\MikeD\MD_Elven_Royal_Armor_Genesis_8\Mats (You can find the folder easily by right click on one of the non working materials files of your smart library and choose 'Browse to folder location')

    - Restart DAZ Studio if it was opened while you did your icon transfer

    - Ready

    Sorry again for the inconvenience

    Mike
