File>Save as>Shaping Preset or File>Save As>Materials Preset, if you are using a TriAx figure, such as one of the Genesises, in DAZ Studio. Use the options dialogue to limit what the preset does by unchecking things you don't want to be affected. Though they won't strictly be Inj/Rem poses, since you aren't loading new morph data into the figure.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I am currently trying to learn Daz and I am looking for the options menu but do not see it. How do i create a head shape preset that does not reset the body parameters?

the Character Preset does not have a option to only effect the head of a figure. It is for full figures only. You need to create a head morph that can be saved as a Morph Asset that can be dialed in to the figure and that would effect only the head and or the parts of the head that changed shape.

Shaping Preset (not Character.. Character Presets save the skin texture and everything), but there are some caveats.

The only way to do this without any leg work is if the head morphs you're using aren't attached to FBM's. For example, morphs located under Actor > Head can be saved as a Shaping Preset without affecting the body; however, morphs located under Actor > Female would not be as those are FBMs and not PBMs.

I don't remember if you can/how to separate an FBM into just a PBM for the head.
