Enlight me please - is there a fast way to position the origin? I mean the small green gizmo which appears when I activate the joint editor. When I try to move it the whole figure starts to run away from it.

there is a script by @mCasual - but i'm not a pro at using it, i think i should go over the books again. sometimes i get the results i want, sometimes i don't manage - but it's ME, not the script.

it's called mcjChangeOrientation... check their threads or here (i can't find it right now in the forum) or on their site https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts3/mcjchangeorientation

I downloaded it, thanks. Looks pretty simple to use for my purpose! Will try it in the next couple of days.
