ERROR SETTING UP GOZ for Daz Studio
![pjwhoopie@yandex.com](https://farnsworth-prod.uc.r.appspot.com/forums/uploads/userpics/931/n7038OQ168K4Z.jpg)
I am trying to set up GOZ for DAZ Studio but am running into an error. DIM has GOZ for Daz in the available column, but when I try to install it I get an "install failed" message and a pop up window and says:
The package requires the following application path to be defined.
The problem is the the drop down menu for the Name of the program that needs its path defined is not selectible... I can browse the path input area, but I can select program name/version/bit.
Here is a screen shot...
Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
PS
For the record, I went in to DIM SETTINGS>APPLICATIONS>ADVANCED and already added the location of ZBrush... but it is still throwing this error.
Cheers...

That's a bug in DIM. I believe they have a fix but it hasn't been released yet.
Rob says in the meantime, define the required application path in Settings icon > Advanced Settings... > Applications prior to installing the product.
You mean in DIM or in Daz? I've already fix the settings in DIM, it just won't let me install it (because the error above). But it is already mapped...
I've never had this problem. I had a version waiting for install when I looked in DIM, so I've installed. No problems and it is still working as it should, I doubt this will help you but mine doesn't say 'Daz 4.12 Public Build Beta' though. It simply says 'Daz Studio 4.12+ 64bit'. I'm running the same version of DIM as you and I'm running 4.12.1.117 Pro Edition 64 bit.
I also checked and I don't think I've ever had to set a path to ZBrush in the DIM settings. Looking in DIM I can't find any reference to ZBrush. The only thing I've ever had to do is set the path to Daz in ZBrush. What do you see in ZBrush under Preferences/GoZ/Path to Daz Studio ?
You will need to define an installation path for your applications in the DAZ Install Manager (DIM).
To do this, please follow these steps:
1) Open DIM and log in.
2) Click on the gear icon in the top right corner.
3) Select "Advanced Settings...".
4) Click on the Applications tab and you will see "Name" and "Path".
Click on the "+" at the bottom left of the screen, choose the applications name, version and bit; click the "..." button and browse to the installation path of your application(zBrush) and click "Accept".
