I set my character's eyes to point at the camera, when I reopen the scene they have reset
I am using "Constraints" "Point At" and then selecting the camera or a null. But when I save the scene and reopen it, they are still constrained to point at the previous target, but they are not actually pointed there anymore, they have reverted to staring straight ahead.
What is going on here? Is there a solution?

Are you using an actual camera or Perspective View?
I believe that has been a big problem for a long time. You need to move the camera or null to make the eyes pop back it it. It's terrible if you do batch rendering.
The best solution I can suggest and do myself often is to note the XYZ position of the eyes when you are exactly at the pose you want. Then unfollow the camera or null and manually enter the eye XYZ positions (I leave the rotations alone). Then when you reopen the eyes are exactly where you want them. Of course if you want to do additional work you need to re-point the eyes and repeat the process. It's a pain but really helpful to avoid googly eyes when you re-open.
