Just install it and it will add the necessary libraries to GenX2 so you can transfer generation 3 morphs. Of course, to reiterate it does require you to have Generation X2 before purchasing.
I have not been able to use this plugin at all, and yes, I do own everything else that is required for it to work. I would be very happy if it did.
1) It installs the necessary libraries where?
2) What are these libraries called?
3) How do we find them an recognize them when we see them?
4) Once we see and recognize these libraries, what is in them, and how do we use it to transfer morphs to genesis?
Example: I have characters I need to convert to genesis. First I would like to get genesis to look like Matt, Maddie Luke and/or Laura. How can I do this? My figures used the 'children of our time' morphs and preschoolers morphs. Would I have to convert these first? How?. Would I be able to transfer these morphs? How? What steps do I follow? Can I just take a character I've made from these morphs and transfer it? How? What steps do I take?
Do I need to use a morph clone? What on earth is a morph clone? Where do i find said clone? When I'm staring it in the face how do I know it's the clone? What do I do with the clone to apply morphs?
Will I be able to apply the textures/UVs too?
Basically I made several figures. I want to transfer their attributes to genesis. Can I just ddo this directly? Is there any documentation? this sounds like a great product but I see no way to use it, as I have not yet been able to find anything that will give you the steps to do so. I can't use the library unless I know what it's called, where to find it, what it does, and what are the steps to use it. This product sounds great but I bet a lot of ppl could benefit from the explanation of the above. I probably just don't know where to look? But I've been looking for a long time and just cant seem to find it. Is there a step by step?
P.S. I'm frustrated, but this doesn't mean it's not a great plugin we'd been looking forward to. I just can't discover how to use it. What is the libarary this adds called for starters? How do I find it and what do I do with it in order to use it?
There's nothing directly user-level about the libraries. They're internal records for GenX2 so that it can handle the morph transfers, so you can load up the plugin and transfer a Gen3 morph. There's no way to select an existing figure and transfer current morphs as far as I know.
First up, if you want to convert characters look at the character dials and see which ones you've used. Transfer those dials to Genesis using GenX2 and then dial them up alongside the generation 3 morph (Eg. If you used Victoria 3, you'd want the Victoria 3 morphs). As for the kids, I don't believe a morph was ever released for the preschoolers, so getting identical results may be difficult if not impossible.
Remember, the morphs will only act upon the base mesh. When you morph Gen3 characters, they're already child-shaped, but Genesis will need to be made into a youth first. If you can get the original shape morphs, it makes the process a lot easier since you're starting on the same figure base shape.
Wow! Thanks for the quick response! I really appreciate that. First of all I want to emphasize what a good pluggin in this looks like, and how glad I am to see it. I'm obviously frustrated but that's just because I don't understand it (yet) and couldn't find what to do.
1) Ok, so I don't need to look for a user library. I need to start with a base figure. I've done illustrations with all of these characters, but let's start with something simple. Let's say I just wanted to start with a base figure such as Matt, for instance How would I go about making genesis look like Matt? How would you even start? That's the main question.
Going further, after that the 'children of our world, for exmaple are good presets of headmorphs of different races, rather than dial up. Is it still possible to make them? Can you transfer a preset?
Again, first I need to know how you get the original shape morph of Matt or Maddie or Luke or Laura to begin with?
Thanks!
