problems with Daz Central and Install manager

I can't get my recent purchases to install through either Daz central or the Install Manager. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling them both, restarting the computer, resetting the internet connction and nothing works. I've installed hundred of items into my Daz library and this is the first time I've had any trouble.

    Is it failing to download or failing to install?  What OS and security programs?

    Won't install. No security other than the same ad blocker I've had for over a year now. Windows 64. What's odd is it installed the Orestes Witches Twighlight but nothing else. I have changed nothing to my computer settings or the install programs.

    Whenever I use the Install Manager all it says is Install failed! Daz central just goes right back to Install instead of Open. I really don't want to install all that stuff manually.

    Is that all of the log?  Open the log, select everything and delete it, and save and close the empty file.  Do the same for the helper log.  Then try another install and post the new logs.

    Can you go to the DIM downloads folder (C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Downloads) and see if you can unzip the files manually (to a temporary location is fine)?  My guess is that the recent Windows update changed permissions on either the Downloads folder or on your My DAZ 3D Library folder so that DIM isn't being allowed to read/write to them.

    I can unzip  the files. I just can't get the install software to install them. I had to manually install everything which is a major pain and I don't want to go through that every time I purchase anything from Daz. I have tried everything....

    Can you go to C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime, right-click on the Textures folder > Properties > Security, and post a screenshot?

    No, I can't. apparently my pc wont let me do a screenshot and I can't upload a photo from my phone either. Everything was fine until yesterday. The only variable is Windows dumped a bunch of updates I didn't want or need onto my operating system and now everything is screwed.

    Tell me what to look for on the C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime, right-click on the Textures folder > Properties > Security

    See if there's a User/Group named "Everyone", and what permissions it has.

    I'm not on Windows 10, so I don't know how User Groups are arranged.  Is their a group for Users?

    yes. Default.migrated, Drew, and Public. The Daz folders are in public.

    I get the same error when DIM upgraded to 1.4 on win 7 x64. It reports an error unpacking DAZ3DDIM.exe. I was hoping to move a lot of my Daz stuff to a different drive tonight, but now I can't uninstall any of it apparently.

    Daz Connect will not work for me and I refuse to go near Daz Central.

    Malware Bytes. I've never had a problem with it and DIM before. I was able to install an older version of DIM (1.1) and that installed fine. I can't download untill I upgrade however, and upgrading generates the unpacking error.

    I've seen that error with Malwarebytes running in real-time mode.  If it allowed the older version to install, see if the new installer works now.  If it doesn't, see if DAZ3DDIM.exe has an Owner listed in Properties > Security.  If it doesn't, Malwarebytes is messing with the permissions.  Turn off real-time mode in MBAM, reboot, and try it again.

    I just shut down Malwarebytes and DIM has installed and is downloading my content now. No owner is listed, just system, administrators and users. I'm listed as admin and user. This is after I shut down Malwarebytes.

    I hadn't considered Malwarebytes as the cause, I've always ran in real time mode with no issues installing DIM.
