Finger Morph issue

Can Anyone Help in Resolving my problem with morping fingers, i  did create a hand grip morph in blender , the morph results wasn't working correctly

so i tried a different approach a simple test using 1 finger , using Daz studio and Hexagon and similar results with the morph not working correctly

these are the steps i did

Can Anyone Help me , i  tried to create a  hand grip morph  , but the results ended up messing up some of the fingers  thinking it was blender , i tried this more simpler test and same result,

i hope somone can help shed some light on how to fix this problem , here are some pics showing the steps i did on a test with one finger

The morph is just moving the vertices along a straight line from the base p[osition to the morph position, so the shringing is unavoidable - that's why we have joints for bending rather than just morphs. If you want an improved grip you could perhaps use a morph, but only to modifiy the pose and with careful (custom) ERC to control when its effect started to show.

Thanks Richard , sorry to be a pain  thats being a newbie for you  , i see the limitations and my approach seems to be Wrong on what im trying to achieve , can i use the bone joints in transform  to create a pose of the bending the finger and using ERC freeze to control the finger to bend from normal position to the bend position ,, i think i understand the concept  as you said to only use morphs to modify a pose .

I think what you are descibing is a pose control - one slider that drives multiple bends. Most of the Daz figures already have quite a few of those in their Body morph sets, but yes you can make your own using ERC Freeze.

Hi richard , your right i did a full hand Grip using bone transforms and managed to create a pose control  using ERC Freeze . Created new Property and works perfectly  ,i Will allways bare in mind what you said, only use a morph to modify a pose , lessons to be Learned , thanks for your help Richard.

More to the point, use morphs for linear changes or over short ranges, don't use them for rotations.

Thanks Richard , for the words of wisdom , i have another issue relating to the pose control and ERC Freeze,  i created a hand pose ,new property and ERC freeze , works fine

now the interesting bit , the hand pose is still at 100 %  i thought ok lets see if i can do a secondary pose from the hand pose , new propery finger bend ERC freeze , oops now the finger bend i created from the hand pose is now the master, that controls the pose hand , is there a way that could have created the finger bend from the hand pose as a seperate pose controller

If the first pose control was still set when you did the second ERC Freeze then use, it would be a sub-component. As long as you have sensible limits set that shouldn't actually cause a major issue, and it is what you told DS to do. If you want the pose as a starting point without using the actual sldier you migth try using Edit>Figure>Bake to Transforms, which should turn the pose control off and replace it with thenbends set locally on the fingers - make your adjustsments, create the new property, and freeze.

Thank you so Much  your a Godsend,  i looked every where for information   ,  i will try the bake to transform .
