DAZ Studio 4.6.3.50 / PostgreSQL / Smart Content / Tags Question
I just started playing with the "tags" option in DAZ Studio to see how it works. I'm noticing some major weirdness, not sure if it is my setup or otherwise. The tagging seems hit or miss. I will add a number of tags to various assets in a product (say for Adventureland Outfit, the boots, I tagged with boots, footwear, shoes. The hat, I tagged with hat and headwear. The shirt, with shirt, long-sleeve ...). The shirt tags are fine, it put in three, but the other items the tagging is hit or miss, is only putting in one or even none. Even if I manually edit the metadata file and reimport, for some it allows multiple tags, others only one. I wiped out the content DB (reset) but that didn't fix it, shut down CMS and deleted all the content DB files from the ProgramData folder, rebooted my workstation, but that still didn't fix it. (I should add that I am up over 5,174 Products in DS, and +5400 DIM installed products--it takes 30+ minutes to reset/reimport so you can imagine that it is hard to find items so I am looking at options to categorize/tag items more cleanly).
I'm running Windows 7, 64Bit, latest version of DS (4.6.3.50), Intel i7, 32GB of memory, 2 Nvidia GTX675M cards (not in SLI mode) with the latest video card drivers) for background.
Is the tagging system working or is there something I am doing wrong?

Are you having these problems with a fresh PostgreSQL database, or a Valentina database, or a PGS database with data imported from Valentina?
This would be the PostgreSQL (not Valentina). I installed all the DS updates that DIM offered. As I completely wiped out the database when I initially saw the issue with the tags (database reset and deleted the vdb and other files under the ProgramData\Content Management Service\databases folder), I would think this is a complete PostgreSQL install. I didn't import any user-data or the valentina db, just let it re-import from the product metadata as a clean re-import. It seems to be an intermittent error, like I said. Some assets let me put multiple tags on them, others none, still others only one or it won't let me change the "one" tag at all. I've shutdown/started my workstation to give it a clean start-up just to make sure that there wasn't something flaky after the DIM install.
I did notice in the dblog.txt in "\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms\ContentCluster", the following error whenever I restarted my workstation or the service:
LOG: database system is ready to accept connections
LOG: autovacuum launcher started
FATAL: role "[my user name]" does not exist
Is there something special that I need to do to wipe out the PostgreSQL database maybe that I didn't do beyond resetting the database?
Note, in case I wasn't clear, I'm editing the tags in the actual Content DB Editor ->Assets -> Tags screen, not the tags option on the content library screen (though even that page doesn't keep the tags I add for some assets after applying the change, while others will). It is like there is a read-only or something stuck somewhere that it doesn't want to accept the tags.
The databases folder is the Valentina database, but resetting the database should have gotten you a clean PostgreSQL database.. Could you submit a bug report, please?
Thank you for your time. I've put in a bug report (#170435) with hopefully all the information and log files they will need to further troubleshoot.
I can not answer about the error, but if you modify or add "tags" in content library >content DB editor,
you can not see them in Content library, or Smart content,> information section>"tags" (Under part of tabs)
(though they work as serch words, in both tabs ,)
because, the words shown in information section >tags seems "Userwrods" of ContentDB editor,
not "Tags" of ContentDB editor.
at least,, in my daz studio,, I can not add tags in the infomation section.
but if I add keywords in infomation section, then apply it,, it recorded as Userwords in Content DB editor.
if I modify Userwords in Content DB editor, I can see them in information section >tags,.
Then when you export the product data, from Content DB editor, (manually or with check box and auto exported when you modify)
the modify should be recorded as "userwords".
though you can add keywords as "tags" in dsx too,, they will not be shown in Smart content (content library) > user infomation>tags.
