How to move around / render only parts of a huge environment

Hello everyone. I apologize if this is a really simple task.
I want to know how to move around in a scene that has a big asset. something like https://www.daz3d.com/valley-and-hills. The environment is HUGE and scorlling my mousewheel seems like a VERY long and weird way of going to different parts of the scene. I want to go to different parts to see different places I can pose my characters.
Also when I pick a spot, is there a way I can delete all the other parts? since I believe the entire scene counts even if you only want one small render. I cant seem to remove 'parts' of a big environment.
Any help is appreciated

What I do is create a group called Sets and but the environment in that Set and then move the set around instead of the actor(s) because of an iRay render bug.
When I want to move to a specific area on the environment I go to the scene tab and select the geometry node for that item and then go back to the viewport and click on the box with an opening on each side and a cross hairs in the box (it looks like some camera viewfinders) and that usually takes your view or the current camera to the selected geometry node.
In a big scene groups help alot. You can turn off and on objects to reduce the VRAM needed to render the scene. Most of the time I use the keyboard short cuts to move around and will place cameras at known locations. So if I need to jump back to a spot I just change the camera and you are at the location. For most of my scenes now I will save scene/pose subsets so I can go back to a certain scene in the future and I also have been using what I call Scene H. Poses. I place all my objects under one group and save that group as an H pose. When you click on the H pose all your assets including cameras will reposition to that scene/pose. My save names would be like Scene 01 Pose 01 and so on.
