There are some new software bridges for Blender and Autodesk products so new forums were added.

Wait till they change the site's software... things are bound to get far more "interesting" then.

I never would have noticed if people hadn't complained.

My bookmarks don't take me to catagories just threads I follow and I click the cog and choose Recent Discussions from there

Wait...that's it? No hilarious anecdotes about "it's like the time when..etc" ... I'm speechless!

Like, what happened to the commons? usually when i open up the forums its RIGHT THERE ,. now its WAY DOWN THERE.

You sound like my cat when something changes. He gets in a right old grump. Sometimes he just sits there for hours glaring at the offending article.

Please tell me you didn't do that too. wink

    Regards,

Hahaha, reeeeelate. Me for the first 3 seconds when I clicked into the forums this morning lol:

Ozzy Osbourne Confused GIF - OzzyOsbourne Confused Panic ...

Had to have another cup of coffee. Now I'm good. I think if we as a species can adapt to living with social distancing and face masks, we can find a way to accept a forum rejig... eventually... cheeky

Well GREAT.  Now, due to the coriolis effect, the toilets (Water Closets?) in the forum restrooms are going to swirl in the opposite direction causing me to question my Personal Reality every time I come here to vent my mental bladder.

In all seriousness though, when I first logged in last night I felt as though there was a disturbance in the Force, it was as if millions of voices suddenly cried out and were suddenly silenced.

    @daveso : I'm over it now, but I feel ya, bro.  :)

Honestly, I was thinking about that, but at the moment I wasn't sure if this had anything to do with the MEOW hacks... apparently some hackers are going around deleting data from websites and or messing around with them and leaving behind a calling card of "MEOW"... since they are just focusing on really poorly protected websites and data collected on users, some think it's a group trying to show how poorly protected some websites are.

    I think it's cats.

Its not inconceivable that after thousands of years of catching mice for people, cats have become bored with the dramatic downturn in the number of rodents available for them to chase in modern households and have turned to hacking.

Also... why not?... cats can be real jerk (albeit, adorable jerks) and with all the crap going on in the world right now, would hacker cats be surprising?

Additionally... now would be a perfect time for an organized revolution by cats... everything is in chaos and they must be sick of having people home all the time and really resenting the human presence.

But so far, as no "Catnip Forum" or "Friends Of Our Feline Overlords" forums showed up, I'm guessing it was just because of the new software forums.

    Unless they are hidden forums.

I noticed thought why, then considered it a good idea.

IMO, Daz having forums that related to their own products at the top makes sense; they're a business - and it's a subtle promotion.

Next comes the software that they hope makes them some additional sales - again makes sense.

Then comes the forum folks will take the time to find. @OP You certainly did, despite not liking the change. cheeky

It's just like all the ancient sticky threads that we all automatically scroll past every time.. Soon you will just automatically scroll past the new bridge forums, too if they don't interest you.

But their business is primarily the content they sell for the software, and General Discussion and Daz PA Commercial Products are where those are primarily discussed, now buried down below.

Also, having the Platinum Club forums disappear is a not-uncommon problem with accounts, usually indicating a need to log in again, clearing the cache, or possibly contacting support if your PC+ membership has issues. At first I thought I was having one of those issues when I first went to the main page after it was moved. If the store and forums were more reliable, maybe the first thought people have wouldn't be that there was something wrong.

I don't care about it being moved, but it's a reasonable question and concern...

Ok, it is not just me.   Everything was normal, and I went back to the main forum screen, and suddenly everything was different! thought I had accidently clicked on something that intitiated the re-ordering of the Universe.  I have been trying to figure out what I did.  Whew.

yeah, this is throwing me off as well when I come to the forums. I was so used to the layout before.

No... no... you did reorder the universe, but since you've already ordered one universe you get the second one at a 3% discount. If you order more than 20 universes, you get the full 12% contractor discount and a free pencil with a Gilbert Gottfried shaped eraser on the end.

Depending on whether you ordered it before 5 PM EST (UTC-5), you should be getting it around Wednesday between 11 AM and 3 PM.

Please don't forget to fill out the comment card that come with your second universe.

I have 22 universes in my cart, and I'm seeing the 12% discount, but the Gilbert Gottfried eraser is still showing as full-price.  Please report this to Daz or NO SALE!!!!11!1!!11! *outrage emoji*

I don't want a universe with Golbert Gottfried in it. Can I get a Dolly Parton eraser? That way I can erase twi e as much.

Okay, I found it. If you go up to BLUE BAR at the top, then to the MAIN cog over to the right,  you can select that cog and where it says Viewing at the bottom, choose Main Categories. They all return. Then for them to stay, click each one's cog and select Unhide.

The new forum threads are all niche, specialist subjects. They should be at the bottom of the list not near the top.

    Cheers,

    Alex.
