Yeah I saw that!  This looks great, been waiting for a cloth-style brush option for years...

Imagine all the clothes that can be made with this for our DAZ characters, this is very exciting news!

Duckbomb.  It's not a brush, it's a dynamics engine.  Make your clothing, drape to your figure, export, rig and fix with JCM's or keep as dynamic cloth for DS or Poser!  I'm chomping at the bit, you just don't know!  I have so many clothing items I've made over the years that would look so much better with more natural folds incorporated into them.  Cloth brushes are great but nothing beats dynamics!

Holy guacamole! Timing couldn't be better either, with MD going to rent-mode.

  • I recently started to figure out 2020..... it is a tough hill to climb, but maybe I'll be past base camp by the time 2021 hits.

wow. the possibilities with the interactive cloth brush combined with dynamics...that is going to make marvelous designer obselete for many things.

Time to get better at Zbrush...

  • That was mesh porn if ever I saw it.

I'm wondering if you'll be able to apply some sort of dynamic properties then to other things, like possibly clothing that doesn't play well with DForce, and then you can drape and create morphs based on the output.  That would be really nice.  Honestly, any kind of simple way to generate realistic cloth simulations without bouncing back and forth between DAZ and ZBrush will be nice...  now my head's starting to buzz, as well, as I'm starting to think through the possibilities for adding dynamics to existing meshes, aside from those that I create myself.  Hmmm....

True that... we've waited this long, what's a few more months?  In "pandemic time" that's right around the corner!
