temporarily hiding the environment

Before i render out a scene, I view it from abouve to set up my main camera. When i have depth of field enabled I like to adjust the camera from above my scene making sure that my main character in in view with no blur. With the Baroque Room, there's an environment surrounding the building so that light comes through the windows. But ith the environment I can't see my cameras or characters (I also temporarily turn off the roof).

I've turned off EVERY layer, yet the evironment still is there. Does anyone know how to get to it to turn it off?

thank you.

Which file are you loading for the set?

Don't have that prop, but if I were a betting man, I'd wager that the environment dome is parented to another object in the scene, like a camera or a light. Can you select the environment dome? What happens if you create a new group, stick the Baroque Room prop in it, and hide the group: does the dome become invisible?

You can also ctrl-click the various scene entries which will hide any children as well. Going through each scene entry doing this you should find the culprit, which as mclaugh pointed it, is likely a child object.

I create a new group Sets and drag my environment nodes into the Sets group and click the Eye icon in the Scene tab to hide that all at once. You can do the same for Actors, Lights, Cameras, or any sort of grouping you like.
