PS problem related to Poser?

I was rendering on Poser, and I had work to do in PS on another image. I've had Poser and PS open at the same time before, but I opened it while Poser was rendering, and something happened. I didn't read the stupid error message all the way, unfortunately, because I figured it might just be too much for my comp and I'll close it and it'll be okay in later...but it's not.
It said, I think, something like there was an error with the display driver, and it was reverting to a previous version of photoshop; I think. It looks the same, but it doesn't work right. My zoom doesn't work right. I have cs6, and since I've had it when I click zoom it's a tool that just zooms in and out easy. I move my mouse up or down and it zooms in and out. But now, there's a box. It highlights what to zoom in on, and I have to select two different zooms if I want to zoom in or out, instead of just one tool. Idk wtf is going on.
I know Poser/Daz and PS sometimes go hand in hand with some artists, and it did mess up when I used Poser.
Did I break my damn computer or something trying to open PS with Poser?
I can't stand this zoom issue; I want it fixed. Someone please help. I know it's not a 3D art program I'm asking about but I do use it after EVERY picture I do. I NEED it to do my 3D art. PLEASE HELP SOON. I had an art project I needed to get done, and now I can't do work on it because my PS is messed up!
edit:
I found now that Lighting Effects is also greyed out. I use this tool RELIGIOUSLY on my images. So now I definitely need to fix this.

You probably ran out of ram. Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance. How much system ram do you have and how much did you allow for PS?

If you have CS6 Extended, and were using any of the 3D options, that will kill your ram too.

Also, hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up your Task Manager. Check the Performance tab. Is your ram maxed out?

But I restarted my computer, and it is still having the problem. I don't see the ram being maxed out, either.

Go back to the Performance tab, is the Use Graphics Processor option on the lower right unchecked? This is required for certain features to work, including that lighting effects filter.

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit OS? are you using the same version for PS? How much ram do you have?

I run PS, DS and Poser at the same time many times in the past with no problems.

Okay so, I seem to have fixed it through some far too complicated tampering but it works now. It had something to do with the program files...
I reinstalled it more or less and it created a new folder and it was fixed. Lost all my preferences though, but I didn't have that many.
